    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for displaying information in a first electronic device. A message is received from a second electronic device. In response to determining that the message includes information corresponding to a location of the second electronic device, information corresponding to a location of the second electronic device is obtained from the received message. A start point and a destination point are set based at least in part on position information of the first electronic device and the information corresponding to the location of the second electronic device. In response to identifying a route between the start point and the destination point, information representing the identified route between the start point and the destination point is displayed on a display of the first electronic device.
