Abstract: A power converter controlling method suitable for a power converter is disclosed. The power converter is configured to output a power to a load. The power converter includes a switch. The power converter controlling method includes the following steps. The power outputted from the power converter to the load is detected and a switching frequency of the switch is adjusted according to the power. When the power is greater than a load threshold, the power converter is set to a first working mode, and the switching frequency of the switch is adjusted according to the power in the first working mode. On the other hand, when the power is smaller than or equal to the load threshold, the power converter is set to a burst mode, and the switching frequency is fixed at a setting frequency value in the burst mode.

The sensing apparatus may include a surface and accelerometer to detect the acceleration of the surface. A processor may determine whether a projectile hit has occurred. The sensing apparatus may be mounted onto a vehicle. The vehicle may be a robot capable of participating in a game. The robot game may occur within a facility.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed that includes fluorinated polymer and a non-fluorinated polymer. The fluorinated polymer includes first divalent units independently represented by formula and second divalent unit independently comprising a pendent cationic, anionic, amphoteric, or amine-oxide group or a pendent poly(alkyleneoxy) segment. The non-fluorinated polymer is R2O-(EO)p—(R3O)q-(EO)p—R2 or R2O—(R3O)q-(EO)p—(R3O)q—R2. A method of making the composition and methods of reducing the surface tension of a liquid and a method of treating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation are also disclosed.

Abstract: A two-way voice interface allows communication by telephone between a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and a human operator. A phone-HMI gateway communicates with the SCADA system through an application programming interface (API), composes messages to the operator in text format and interprets text derived from voice commands from the operator. A cloud telephone service is used to convert from voice to text and from text to voice, and to set up the telephone connection with the human operator.

The vibration feeding mechanism includes a driving member, a rotating shaft, a rotation wheel, and at least one adjusting member. The rotating shaft is rotatably connected to the driving member. The rotation wheel is non-rotatably sleeved on the rotating shaft. The at least one adjusting member is fixed between the rotating shaft and the rotation wheel to adjust an eccentricity of the rotation wheel. The vibration feeding mechanism is mounted on the mounting seat. The pressing mechanism is connected to the rotation wheel of the vibration feeding mechanism and is driven by the vibration to adjustably move close to and then away from a workpiece.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel, non-toxic and eco-friendly hydrogen peroxide activator, a method for its production and its application. The activator can effectively activate H2O2 under mild conditions, such as low temperature and nearly neutral aqueous solution, making it a more advantageous alternative to traditional activators. The novel activator can further expand the application of H2O2 in the fields, such as textile, paper making and health care.

Abstract: A method for energy demand management in a production flow line having a plurality of stations. The method includes calculating a slack time for the production flow line or a selected station and determining an option of operation mode flexibility. In addition the method includes performing a feasibility analysis of the option and providing a solution based on an elasticity measure. The method is supported by a mean value analysis technique and discrete event simulation. The method provides an automated energy auditing and analysis tool in a production system.

Abstract: A method implemented by a first network component (NC) in a digital subscriber line (DSL) system comprising retrieving an on-line reconfiguration (OLR) request from a control entity (CE), wherein the OLR request is generated by the CE based on a noise increase on a subscriber line between the NC and a second NC in the DSL system, and in response to the OLR request, transmitting a message to a receiver in the second NC to request for a reduced data rate on the subscriber line.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer storage media for detecting anomalies within nodes of a data center are provided. A self-learning system is employed to proactively and automatically detect the anomalies using one or more locally hosted agents for pulling information that describes states of a plurality of nodes (e.g., computing devices of a cloud-computing infrastructure), respectively, and using at least one early-warning mechanism for implementing a comparison technique. The comparison technique involves individually comparing the state information of the plurality of the nodes against one another and, based upon the comparison, grouping one or more nodes of the plurality of nodes into clusters that exhibit substantially similar state information. Upon identifying the clusters that include low number of nodes grouped therein, with respect to a remainder of the clusters of nodes, the members of the identified clusters are designated as anomalous machines.

Abstract: A method comprising determining a plurality of power spectrum density (PSD) profiles for a plurality of cabinet-deployed digital subscriber lines (DSLs) comprising jointly and iteratively determining a plurality of cutoff frequencies based on crosstalk coupling parameters among the DSLs, wherein the cutoff frequencies and PSD profiles are in one to one correspondence, and wherein each profile comprises a reduced PSD portion below the cutoff frequency of the profile and a maximum PSD portion above the cutoff frequency.

Abstract: A test system for a managed cloud computing environment may have a management system that may recruit devices in the cloud and outside the cloud to perform a test on a cloud based application. Each device may execute an agent that connects the device to several cloud services for messaging, data collection, and executable code storage. The management system may identify and gather the devices, then cause the devices to execute a test by sending commands through the messaging service. The devices may access executable code for the specific tasks of a test through the code storage service, and as the devices complete tasks for the test, the devices may publish results in the data collection service. The test system enables any type of scenario to be implemented, including operations that can only be performed inside and outside the managed cloud environment.

A first correspondence is acquired between both a PSD of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a PSD of transmitted signals of a second communications equipment and a signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment. A second correspondence is acquired between the signal-to-noise ratio of received signals of the first communications equipment and the number of bits for bearing signals. An optimization algorithm is used to calculate a PSD of transmitted signals of the first communications equipment and a PSD of transmitted signals of the second communications equipment.
