Patent number: 9477614Abstract: To comply with a policy for a computing device indicating that data written by the computing device to the storage volume after activation of the policy be encrypted, a sector map is accessed. The sector map identifies one or more sectors of a storage volume and also identifies, for each of the one or more sectors of the storage volume, a signature of the content of the sector. In response to a request to read the content of a sector, the content of the sector is returned without decrypting the content if the sector is one of the one or more sectors and the signature of the content of the sector matches the signature of the sector identified in the sector map. Otherwise, the content of the sector is decrypted and the decrypted content is returned.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2014Date of Patent: October 25, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Innokentiy Basmov, Magnus Bo Gustaf Nyström, Alex M. Patent number: 9090672Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing an antibody directed against a protein, particularly a transmembrane protein, expressed on the surfaces of cells. Specifically disclosed is a means for obtaining a desired antibody by mixing cells capable of expressing an antigen protein on the surfaces thereof (i.e., antigen molecule-expressing cells) with an antibody library composed of antibody-expressing cells, viruses or the like, and subsequently concentrating/isolating only components (e.g., antibody-expressing cells, viruses) capable of binding to the antigen molecule-expressing cells from the components (e.g., antibody-expressing cells, viruses) of the antibody library.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2009Date of Patent: July 28, 2015Assignee: CHIOME BIOSCIENCE INC.Inventors: Shu-ichi Hashimoto, Donghui Li, Shoko Ishida, Hidetaka Seo, Chika Koyama, Yukiko Banzai, Naoto Harigai, Isao Kohno

Publication number: 20100094766Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product to provide a single platform to unify benefits, claims, membership, billing, and servicing. One embodiment provides a computer program-assisted system to provide a single point source for host benefits management having a centralized benefit data manager (BDM); a selector communicatively connected to said BDM to allow a user to view, select, and assemble benefit components from BDM; an editor communicatively connected to the BDM allows the ability to define and update benefit components and variables for benefit and payment policies; a read-only explainer communicatively connected to the BDM provides understandable “read-only” descriptions of benefits available; and a connector communicatively connected to the BDM as an interface layer to exchange electronic benefit data with all system processes, including external claims systems. The connector can translate rules from a user's natural language to computer code language.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2008Publication date: April 15, 2010Applicant: BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF MICHIGANInventors: Donghui Li, Brenda Heinen, Mike Guiette, Jeff Hostetler

Patent number: 7505033Abstract: A relatively moving surface is illuminated with a laser. Light from the laser is reflected by the surface into an array of photosensitive elements; the reflected light includes a speckle pattern. Sums are calculated for outputs of pixels perpendicular to a first dimension along which motion is to be determined. Motion along the first dimension is then determined based on spatial and temporal gradients of the calculated sums. Sums are also calculated for outputs of pixels perpendicular to a second dimension along which motion is to be determined. Motion along the second dimension is then determined based on spatial and temporal gradients of those sums. The array may be rectangular, or may contain arms separated by a pixel-free region.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2005Date of Patent: March 17, 2009Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Li Guo, Tian Qiu, Donghui Li, Jun Liu, Ting Gong, Yuan Kong

Patent number: 7411424Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed to implement programmable logic generators that provide the advantages of compatible look-up tables (LUTs) while utilizing less silicon real estate and power for the same number of functions. The disclosed methods and apparatus employ programmable switches to emulate memory units that are used in LUTs and illustrate construction of 2- and 3-input LUTs as building blocks of other multi-input LUTs.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2006Date of Patent: August 12, 2008Assignee: KLP International, Ltd.Inventors: Donghui Li, Jack Zezhong Peng, Jason Chen

Publication number: 20070109267Abstract: Reflected laser light having a speckle pattern is received in a pixel array. Pixel outputs are combined into series representing pixel intensities along particular dimensions at times t and t+?t. Centroids for each series can be identified, and vectors determined for movement of centroids from time t to time t+?t. Crossing points may alternatively be identified for data within each series relative to a reference value for that series, and vectors determined for movement of crossing points from time t to time t+?t. A probability analysis may be used to extract a magnitude and direction of array displacement from a distribution of movement vectors. A series of data values corresponding to time t+?t may alternatively be correlated to advanced and delayed versions of a series of data values corresponding to time t. The highest correlation is then used to determine movement.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2005Publication date: May 17, 2007Applicant: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Li Guo, Tian Qiu, Donghui Li, Jun Liu, Yuan Kong
