    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a lower pattern disposed on the substrate, a lower insulating layer disposed on the lower pattern and an upper insulating layer disposed on the lower insulating layer. The display device also defines a contact hole penetrating the lower insulating layer and the upper insulating layer to expose a portion of the lower pattern. A protective film is disposed inside the contact hole and covers a side surface of the lower insulating layer. Additionally, an upper pattern is disposed on the upper insulating layer and the protective film and connected to the lower pattern through the contact hole.
