  • Patent number: 9989658
Abstract: A positron emission tomography (PET) data processing method comprises obtaining PET data from a PET detector, wherein the PET detector comprises an array of detector elements, and wherein the PET data is representative of a PET measurement of at least part of a subject. The method comprises identifying in the PET data a plurality of paired events, wherein each paired event comprises a first photon event in a first region of the PET detector and a second photon event in a second region of the PET detector. The first photon event comprises an energy deposition in a first detector element of the array or in a first detection region of the first detector element due to a scattering of a first photon at a first azimuthal scattering angle and an associated energy deposition by the scattered first photon in a second detector element of the array or in a second detection region of the first detector element or of the second detector element.

  • Patent number: 9875033
Abstract: A method of minimizing data storage medium fragmentation, wherein the method provides a data storage library comprising (N) data storage media, wherein (N) is greater than or equal to 1. The method establishes a threshold fragmentation index, and determines, for each value of (i), an actual fragmentation index for an (i)th data storage medium, wherein (i) is greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to (N). The method receives a data set from a host computer in communication with the data storage library, and writes the data set to an (i)th data storage medium based upon an (i)th actual fragmentation index.

  • Patent number: 9808045
Abstract: An article of footwear having an adjustable width is disclosed. The article of footwear can include a lower sole and an upper sole. The lower and upper soles can have grooves to allow for expansion and contraction. The article of footwear can also include a width adjustment assembly. The width adjustment assembly can have a lead screw, an adjustment device accessible to a wearer from the outside of the article of footwear, an actuation strap, an anchor plate connected to the actuation strap. Rotation of the adjustment device can cause the lead screw to rotate, which in turn can change the tension in the actuation strap. Changes to the tension in the actuation strap can cause the width of the forefoot portion of an article of footwear to be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 9804851
Abstract: A data processing system is provided with processing circuitry as well as a bank of 64-bit registers. An instruction decoder decodes arithmetic instructions and logical instruction specifying arithmetic operations and logical operations to be performed upon operands stored within the 64-bit registers. The instruction decoder is responsive to an operand size field SF within the arithmetic instructions and the logical instructions specifying whether the operands are 64-bit operands or 32-bit operands where all of the operands are 64-bit operands or all of the operands are 32-bit operands. If a switch is made to a lower exception level, then a check is made as to whether or not a register being used was previously subject to a 64-bit write to that register. If such a 64-bit write had previously taken place, then the upper 32-bits are flushed so as to avoid data leakage from the higher exception level.

  • Publication number: 20170305523
Abstract: A single piece gasket is disclosed having a skeletal member, typically metallic, and a pliable body. The pliable body includes a first portion having a first firmness and a second perimeter portion have a firmer consistency. When such a composite body is placed under compression, the perimeter will tend to limit the flow of the softer inner material past the firmer perimeter region or portion of the gasket. In this manner, creep or overrun of the less firm portion material will be reduced.
