  • Patent number: 10783029
Abstract: A storage system periodically replicates data to another storage system for data backup and protection. The storage system is configured to detect an irregularity potentially causing a fault in the storage system. Such a detected irregularity may a component failure in a storage device, a temperature change in a storage device, etc. In response to the detected irregularity, the storage system increases a replication rate of data to the backup storage system.

  • Publication number: 20200284307
Abstract: Valve systems include a valve and a valve actuator assembly for operating the valve. The valve actuator assembly includes a drive device and a hand wheel assembly that can independently be used to cause movement of the valve. An anti-back drive component is coupled to the output of the drive device, the hand wheel assembly, or both. The anti-back drive component includes a locking device and an unlocking device, each with respective protrusions that cooperate to define cavities that house pairs of springs and rollers. The shape and orientation of the cavities allows for rotation of the rollers in the cavities and the anti-back drive component by rotating the unlocking device, while preventing rotation of the rollers and the anti-back drive component via rotation of the locking device to selectively prevent rotation of the output of the drive device, hand wheel assembly, or both.

  • Patent number: 10771607
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for wireless communication of analyte data. One such method includes, during a first interval, establishing a first connection between an analyte sensor system and a display device. During the first connection, the method includes exchanging information related to authentication between the analyte sensor system and the display device. The method includes making a determination regarding whether authentication was performed during the first interval. During a second interval, the method may include establishing a second connection between the analyte sensor system and the display device for transmission of an encrypted analyte value, and bypassing the exchanging of information related to authentication performed during the first connection.

  • Publication number: 20200275894
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting changes or fluctuations in an analyte concentration signal that are abnormal, e.g., exceed a predetermined threshold, current trend of analyte concentration measurements, etc. Signals indicative of an analyte concentration in a host may be received from an analyte sensor. The signals may be monitored, and a determination can be made as to whether there is a change in the signal. Upon detecting such a change, the change can be compensated for such that a representation of the signal indicates the analyte concentration. Optionally, the cause of the detected changes or fluctuations can also be determined and information regarding the detected changes or fluctuations can be recorded and analyzed for subsequent optimization of the systems and methods as well for transmitting alerts, notifications, etc. to a user to take corrective action.

  • Patent number: 10730643
Abstract: A spacecraft includes a main body structure and a plurality of deployable modular reflector elements, the spacecraft being reconfigurable from a launch configuration to an on-orbit configuration. In the launch configuration, the modular reflector elements are disposed in a storage system that includes an arrangement for supporting the modular reflector elements with respect to dynamic launch loads. In the on-orbit configuration, in some implementations, an assembly of the plurality of modular reflector elements forms a large-aperture, offset fed, reflector, the reflector being coupled with a boom or yoke with the main body structure by way of a two or three axis positioning mechanism configured to steer the reflector with respect to the main body structure. In some implementations, in the on-orbit configuration, the plurality of modular reflector elements are assembled to form a large aperture reflective surface that is self-supporting.
