  • Publication number: 20250243844
Abstract: The invention provides a controller for a wind turbine having three rotor blades, the controller being for controlling activation of individual pitch control of the rotor blades. The controller is configured to receive a flap load signal, from a flap loading sensor of each of the three rotor blades, indicative of flap loading on each of the respective rotor blades. The controller is configured to determine, based on the received flap load signals, a statistical dispersion parameter of flap loading for each of the rotor blades, the statistical dispersion parameters being indicative of a wind event in a wind field in which the wind turbine operates. The controller is configured to control activation of individual pitch control based on the respective statistical dispersion parameters.

  • Publication number: 20250243640
Abstract: THIS invention relates to a method of constructing a tailings storage facility structure, and to a tailings facility structure. The structure comprises a network of sand channel arteries 10 and permeable capillaries extending through tailings 14. The sand channel arteries 10 are continuous in the vertical and one lateral dimension and connect to a decant point or points. The permeable capillaries 12 are connected at their lowest point to a sand channel artery, and are continuous in one lateral dimension. The capillaries 12 transport water from the tailings 14 to the sand channel arteries 10, and the sand channel arteries transport water from the capillaries 12 and the tailings 14, to the water decant point or points.

  • Patent number: 12375424
Abstract: A durability assessment system may receive a request, from a computing system, for a durability index describing an entity. The durability assessment system may determine the durability index based on information about the resource usage by the entity, such as a resource availability score or a resource allocation score. The durability assessment system may compare the obtained resource availability score and resource allocation score to ranges associated with a set of durability indices. Based on the comparison, the durability assessment system may determine a durability index for the entity. The durability index may indicate an ability of the entity to return accessed resources. In some cases, the durability assessment system may provide the durability index to an allocation computing system that is configured to determine whether to grant access to resources based on the durability index.
