  • Patent number: 8762273
Abstract: Methods and systems consistent with the present invention overcome the shortcomings of existing trading systems by providing an invoiceless trading system that creates incentives for customers to pay suppliers within a predetermined period of time, such as a settlement period. Specifically, the invoiceless trading system enables a customer to obtain a discount on orders placed with suppliers in return for an immediate payment (e.g., within 24 hours) by the customer. The supplier receives payment within the predetermined period of time, and the customer receives additional cash benefits by providing an early payment to the supplier. To communicate with and transfer funds between customers and suppliers, the invoiceless trading system may use an electronic gateway and a settlement bank. In addition to creating an incentive to embrace e-commerce, both customers and suppliers avoid the need to manually process orders and use invoices to complete transactions.

  • Patent number: 8757744
Abstract: What is disclosed is a multi-function system which receives media printed with ink having thermo-reactive properties with the ink being visually transparent on that media, and which processes that media such that the ink becomes visually perceptible. One embodiment of the present system comprises an input tray for receiving printed media into a transport path along which the media travels. A cooling element resides in proximity to that transport path for changing a temperature T of the media to T?TL. A temp-normalizing element is positioned along the transport path downstream of the cooling element for changing a temperature of the media such that the media's temperature T can be normalized back to a temperature range TL<T<TH prior to the media being deposited into an output tray. A user interface enables a user to perform various functions. Various embodiments of a user interface are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140172419
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for generating personalized tag recommendations using speech analytics. The system first analyzes an audio stream to identify topics in the audio stream. Next, the system identifies tags related to the topics to yield identified tags. Based on the identified tags, the system then generates a tag recommendation for tagging the audio stream. The system can also send the tag recommendation to a device associated with a user for presentation to the user.
