  • Patent number: 4531419
Abstract: To provide a power brake having relatively small hysteresis between brake pedal pressure and brake hose pressure and with compact construction, the push rod leading from the brake pedal to the brake master cylinder is divided into an input rod and an output rod. A pressure sensitive element is disposed between the rods and is displacable therewith. The pressure-sensitive element determines the force with which the servo member acts upon the output rod.

  • Patent number: 4472854
Abstract: In a windshield wiper assembly, the contact pressure of the wiper blades against the windshield is varied by displacing the wiper shaft in a direction along the axis of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4398135
Abstract: An electric motor drive unit for windshield wipers includes an electric motor having an electrical connection plug housing and a brush holder plate. The plug housing and brush holder plate are provided as an integral unit. The unit is secured between the motor housing and the gear housing. This arrangement and assembly of the drive unit is simplified and less expensive to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 4383290
Abstract: A signal lamp is disclosed for use in automotive vehicles. The lamp includes a housing, a reflector for producing parallel rays, a lens closing the housing in the direction of light exit and diaphragms mounted behind the lens. The outside of the lens is provided with non-reflecting or weakly reflecting transverse stripes to avoid undesired reflections. In one advantageous embodiment, the diaphragms are positioned only in an upper portion of the lamp.

  • Patent number: 4244210
Abstract: The quantity of fuel being in a tank of a motor vehicle is computed in an evaluation circuit to which two primary element signals are supplied, of which one is proportional to the quantity of fuel filled in at the service station and the other is proportional to the quantity of fuel consumed. The evaluation circuit provides an output signal indicative of the difference between the fuel in and fuel consumed. Accordingly, the shape of the fuel tank does not influence the exactness of the measured value. One signal is available from which the fuel consumption as a function of time can be sensored and which is indicated at an indicator integrated into the speedometer.

  • Patent number: 4143488
Abstract: An automotive fuel pump having a return channel from the pressure side to the suction side thereof, comprising an opening in the housing independent of the outlet channel and opening to the inlet channel. The return channel is located in the area of the pressure side armature bearing. This construction enables elimination of gas bubble formation when the fuel being pumped is warmed.
