  • Publication number: 20200027337
Abstract: Security system devices are configured to retrieve historic first sensor data acquired from a protected area in response to receiving a threat alarm notification from a peer security system that is related to an area monitored by the peer security system, wherein the protected area is different from and geographically separate from the area monitored by the peer security system. The system devise determines that a security threat is indicated for the protected area by assessing the retrieved selection of historic first sensor data as a function of a relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area, wherein assessing the historic first sensor data without the function of the relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area results in determining that the security threat is not indicated for the protected area.

  • Publication number: 20190372985
Abstract: A method, computer system, and a computer program product for accessing data in a network is provided. The present invention may include reading a control blockchain, by a non-trusted node, to enable the non-trusted node to read an asset from a trusted node blockchain on a trusted node. The present invention may also include reading the trusted node blockchain by the non-trusted node. The present invention may then include creating, by the non-trusted node, a new block on a temporary blockchain based on the read trusted node blockchain. The present invention may further include transmitting, by the non-trusted node, the created new block to the trusted node, wherein transmitting the created new block causes the created new block to be added to the trusted node blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20190362637
Abstract: A method and system for automatically controlling a vehicle is provided. The method includes generating an original route of travel for a first vehicle for travel from an original location to a destination location. The vehicle is directed from the original location to the destination location such that the vehicle initiates motion and navigates the original route of travel towards the destination location in accordance with the original route of travel. Monitored vehicular attributes of the first vehicle are received and environmental attributes associated with the original route of travel are monitored with respect the first vehicle. Navigational issues associated with the vehicle traveling along the original route of travel are determined based on the monitored vehicular attributes and results of monitoring the environmental attributes. The navigational issues are used to determine if the vehicle should continue to travel along the original route of travel.

  • Publication number: 20190363938
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for computer networks infrastructure automatic convergence. The network devices are enabled to communicate with other adjacent network devices, independently of the device type, about detected changes that could affect them and together generate consensus utilizing a blockchain mechanism about the configuration changes that are accepted. A priority table specifies a priority for various device classes on a network. The devices, in response to a new network topology, determine if a new device configuration is necessary. When a new device configuration is necessary, data corresponding to the new device configuration is put into a blockchain block and appended to a network blockchain that is maintained by one or more nodes (devices) on the network. In this way, an immutable history of network configurations is maintained, improving network security and reliability.

  • Publication number: 20190349333
Abstract: Detecting and blocking content that can develop undesired behavior by artificial intelligence (AI) entities toward users during a learning process is provided. Input information is received for a set of one or more AI entities. Characteristics of the input information are evaluated based on rules of a selected policy from a set of policies and learned characteristics of information associated with a corpus of information. It is determined whether a result of evaluating the characteristics of the input information exceeds a predefined threshold. In response to determining that the result of evaluating the characteristics of the input information exceeds the predefined threshold, the input information for the set of AI entities is filtered by performing a selective filtering action, using a firewall, based on context of the input information.

  • Publication number: 20190318045
Abstract: Aspects provide for design template selectors, wherein processors are configured to determine a design pattern from a user input comprising a spatial arrangement of different discrete constituent design components, and determine that the design pattern input spatial arrangement of constituent components matches a portion of a selected one of a knowledge base plurality of completed design patterns that each comprise different fixed spatial arrangements of discrete constituent components within a threshold amount of confidence. Thus, aspects present the selected one of the knowledge base design patterns to the user as a suggested template for use in completing the design.

  • Publication number: 20190164160
Abstract: An approach is provided for authenticating a payment card. Information is read from the payment card being used for a purchase. The information includes an identifier and data on a chip, in braille cells, and in markings in the payment card. A hash read from the chip, the identifier, and security codes derived from the braille cells and the markings are sent to a payment system. A hash of an (n+1)-th block of a blockchain is received and recorded in the chip in response to validations of the hash as matching a hash of an n-th block of the blockchain, the identifier, and the first and second security codes, and a generation of the hash of the (n+1)-th block. Data about the purchase and the hash of the (n+1)-th block are sent to the payment system.

  • Publication number: 20190094035
Abstract: Data indicating current driving characteristics of a driver driving a vehicle can be received. A driving profile for the driver can be determined and categorized into a driving pattern category. A plurality of candidate travel routes for the driver to reach an intended destination can be identified. For each of the candidate travel routes a plurality of route segments can be identified. Based on the driving pattern category, a probability that the current driving characteristics of the driver will cause a traffic accident can be determined for each of the route segments. A route segment for which the probability that the current driving characteristics of the driver will cause the traffic accident is lowest can be determined and a notification can be communicated to the driver or vehicle indicating that route segment.

  • Patent number: 10226714
Abstract: A system of interlocking smart bricks includes a shell having at least one raised protrusion and at least one hole. A plurality of sensors is disposed within the shell. Each sensor is configured to detect a proximity of additional smart bricks. A processor receives proximity detection data from the plurality of sensors. A radio transmitter transmits the proximity detection data to a host device. The host device receives the proximity detection data, determines an arrangement of the shell therefrom, compares the determined arrangement of the shell with a known target arrangement, determines a degree of match between the arrangement of the shell and the known target arrangement based on the comparison, and authenticates a user to one of a plurality of authentication levels based on the degree of match.
