  • Patent number: 9934382
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for encrypting a virtual machine image and accessing an encrypted virtual machine image. According to some embodiments an encryption module can encrypt a virtual machine image and place an encryption boot loader. The encryption boot loader may be extracted from the encrypted virtual machine image, be transmitted to, and stored at a key storage system. Upon a request to boot an operating system associated with the encrypted virtual machine image, a pre-boot execution environment may communicate with an image service to retrieve the encryption boot loader from the remote key storage system. The virtual machine image may therefore be decrypted suing the encryption boot loader, which may allow booting of the operating system.

  • Publication number: 20180036088
Abstract: Systems and methods for embodiments of a hyperdexterous robotic system using groundless user input devices (UIDs). In some embodiments, the hyperdexterous system allows for the slave control to follow the master control even when the two are misaligned. The motion of the master control occurring in multiple degrees of freedom may be decoupled into its component parts and processed differently. Each degree of freedom may be processed independently and scaled differently. For example, in some embodiments, only the roll motion of the groundless user interface device is transferred, in some embodiments, the master slave control is only allowed when the master and slave are within a certain region of each other.

  • Patent number: 9819491
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for secure release of secret information over a network. The server can be configured to receive a request from a client to access the deposit of secret information, send an authorization request to at least one designated trustee in the set of designated trustees for the deposit of secret information, receive responses over the network from one or more of the designated trustees in the set of designated trustees and apply a trustee policy to the responses from the one or more designated trustees in the set of trustees to determine if the request is authorized. If the request is authorized, the server can send the secret information to the client. If the request is not authorized, the server denies access by the client to the secret information.

  • Publication number: 20170241521
Abstract: A belt wave drive transmission system and method are shown involving a first rotor (10) having a first drum configured to rotate about its axis of rotation and a second rotor (20) having a second drum configured to rotate about its axis of rotation, where the first rotor (10) is constrained to orbit concentrically about the axis of rotation of the second drum. A belt (30) encircles the first and second drums to couple the first (10) and second (20) rotors such that the first rotor (10) moves concentrically around the second rotor (20) as the belt (30) advances about a circumference of the second drum. In further refinements, the system and method involve electrically controllably coupling at least one of the first and second rotors to the belt.

  • Publication number: 20170019208
Abstract: A data modulation method with low frequency signals, encapsulating a plurality of data along with an identifier corresponding to one or multiple LR receivers, and a given preamble into their associated fields to form a LR frame by means of a formatter. The preamble of the LR frame prepares the LR receiver for the reception of the receiver ID and data. An encoding stage whereby a line code generates a plurality of coded data from an LR frame. The transmission of the coded data using ASK modulation through an encoder, rules the transmission of a frame burst emulating the transmission of a modulated low frequency carrier signal. The frame burst is composed of frames compliant with any standard defined by the IEEE 802.11 Working Group or IEEE 802.15 Working Group.
