  • Publication number: 20080281809
Abstract: Automated analysis of user search behavior is provided. Data on user searches is maintained in a user search database. Relevance factors are determined for each search result included in a given search session where the relevance factors provide an indication of user satisfaction with particular search results included in the session. The relevance factors for each search result are analyzed by a relevance classification module for classifying each search result in terms of its relevance to an associated search query. The result of the relevance classification may assign a relevance classification and associated confidence level to each analyzed search result as to whether the search result is acceptable, unacceptable or partially acceptable relative to the search query that resulted in the search result. Relevance classifications for each analyzed search result may be stored for future use, for example, for diagnostic analysis of the operation of a given search mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20080281808
Abstract: Recommendation of related assets based on user search behavior is provided. Relevance classifications assigned to search results in association with search strings that produced the search results may be used for providing a list of one or more searchable assets that may be relevant to a given search query. All pairings of two acceptable assets contained in a given search session may be marked as “See Also” candidates. If a given pairing appears in a search session more than a configurable threshold, the assets in the pairing may be established as “See Also” relationships. Subsequently, when a user conducts a search that produces a search result that is a member of a pairing established as a “See Also” relationship, the other asset in the pairing may be recommended to the searching user within the destination search result page after the user selects the search result for viewing.

  • Patent number: 7425795
Abstract: This invention addresses how an end user can create an electroluminescent device (1, 31) using basic components obtained by the end user as retail items. The layers or subassemblies (15, 17) are created first. Then the layers are assembled to form a completed device customized as selected by the end user. The subassemblies may be created layer-by-layer by thermal inkjet. Elements used typically will be made by manufacturers and sold commercially separately. This encompasses the printing of conductive patterns for electroluminescence on paper. In one aspect a display has a main body that may be permanent and useful indefinitely, while a part carrying the conductive pattern defining the display is readily removed and is replaced by another such part on which a new conductive pattern is printed. For tight contact with the main body, the display provides releasable pressure. Air pockets are minimized with a thin layer of highly viscous dielectric liquid.

  • Publication number: 20080086110
Abstract: Aspiration catheters generally comprise a tube or shaft with an aspiration opening at or near its distal end and a suction device that is at or near the proximal end of the catheter. An aspiration lumen extends from the suction device to the aspiration opening. The aspiration catheter can be associated with an extendable device such that their functions can be combined advantageously. The extendable device can function as a treatment structure and/or as a flow modifier. A treatment structure can be used to expand a constriction in a vessel or to deliver a treatment element into the vessel. A flow modifier generally controls the flow to decrease flow in the vicinity of the aspiration opening to improve the efficiency of the aspiration. Various relationships between the extendable structure and the aspiration catheter are described.

  • Patent number: 7258411
Abstract: A method informs a user of an ink jet printer of the end of life of a consumable. The consumable supplies ink to a printhead having a plurality of ink ejection nozzles and an associated plurality of ink jetting actuators, each of the plurality of ink jetting actuators being addressable. The printhead includes a plurality of address lines for facilitating selection of one or more of the plurality of ink jetting actuators. The method includes the steps of defining a notice threshold that is associated with a corresponding amount of ink remaining in the consumable; providing control logic for selectively controlling the plurality of address lines; determining whether the amount of ink remaining in the consumable has reached the notice threshold; and upon reaching the notice threshold, reducing an image density of images formed by the printhead by selectively disabling at least one of the plurality of address lines.
