Abstract: The invention provides methods of preventing or treating diseases or disorders caused by biological agents or chemical agents in a subject (e.g., a mammal, such as a human) by administering genetically modified human umbilical cord perivascular cells.

Abstract: A detector assembly (10) powered by mains electricity and an elongate backup battery (76) is disclosed. The assembly includes: a ceiling mountable base (10) having a body defining a downwardly opening socket (24); a detector module (20) having a battery support portion (75) for holding the battery (76) in a vertical orientation, the module (20) receivable by the socket (24); a quick connection means for mechanically and electrically connecting the module (20) to the base (10); and shutter (50) mounted to the base (10). The shutter (50) prevents operation of the quick connection means when no vertical battery (76) is installed within the module (20). The quick connection means comprises co-operable pairs of conductors. The conductor pairs transmit power from the base (10) to the module (20). The pairs of conductors each comprise a stud conductor mounted to the base (10) and a forked conductor mounted to the module (20).

Abstract: A group of object servers configured for workload management is described wherein the group exports an object reference to clients that may want to call the group in order to perform some work. The object reference has a field which points to a workload management unit which performs workload management among the group at the Internet Protocol (IP) level.

Abstract: A dry wall tape dispenser is utilizable with a bucket-type container of dry wall taping compound of the kind used for bulk shipment and storage. The dispenser includes a support structure for interengagement with portions of the container and includes an arrangement for supporting and positioning a roll of uncoated dry wall tape above the container for unrolling of tape into the compound. The structure includes an extension which protrudes into the container, the extension including a guide for guiding the unrolled tape so that the tape passes into the compound to a point proximate the bottom of the container for thorough coating. The apparatus is provided also with a scraper proximate the opening having an edge for scraping one face of the coated tape to wipe the compound from such face so that only one face of the tape remains coated as the tape is pulled from the opening.

Abstract: A herbicidal composition of reduced health hazard comprising a salt of a herbicidal bipyridylium quaternary cation and an effectively emetic amount of a s-triazolo [1,5-a] pyrimidine derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, a C.sub.1-4 alkyl radical, or a COOEt radical; R.sup.2 is a C.sub.1-4 alkyl radical or an allyl radical, and R.sup.3 is a C.sub.1-4 alkyl radical; or an addition salt thereof.
