  • Publication number: 20230053322
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a system for classifying software as malicious or benign based on predicting the effect the software has on the platform before the software is actually deployed. A system as described herein can operate in close to real-time to receive, isolate, and classify software as benign or malicious. Aspects of the disclosure provide for accurate classification of malicious programs or scripts even if ostensibly the program appears benign, and vice versa, based on the effect predicted by a machine learning model trained as described herein. The system can also be implemented to isolate and verify incoming scripts or software to the platform, to provide a predicted classification while not substantially impacting processing pipelines involving platform resources or the user experience with the platform in general.

  • Publication number: 20220390910
Abstract: Systems and methods for pairing smart devices are provided. A method can include receiving image data indicative of an environment, The method can include identifying a plurality of devices physically located in the environment and generating a virtual representation of the environment based on the image data. The virtual representation can include a device representation for each respective device of the plurality of devices physically located in the environment. The method can include providing for display, via a display device, data indicative of a user interface. The user interface can present the virtual representation of the environment. The method can include receiving user input indicative of a pairing intention of a first device and second device and, in response, initiating a pairing operation between the first and second device. In this manner, the systems and methods can allow user to easily pair devices using a simple user-interaction.

  • Publication number: 20220215140
Abstract: A risk/reliability assessment tool for ultra-deepwater well control equipment used for offshore drilling operations is disclosed. Embodiments take into consideration all of the processes required for competent risk/reliability assessment for loss mitigation. In an illustrative embodiment, the system provides a simulation tool which evaluates equipment components and simulates the various failure modes for each component and the effect on the other components in the equipment being evaluated. An automated reporting tool quickly identifies components, failure modes for components, and troubleshooting information.

  • Publication number: 20220191698
Abstract: Techniques and systems are described for monitoring remote identifiers transmitted by aerial devices and for detecting whether an aerial device is engaging in suspicious activities. A described technique can include determining, based on information collected from one or mom network components associated with a cellular network, that an aerial device is communicating via the cellular network and is operating in a geographical area; determining whether the aerial device corresponds to a remote identifier which is transmitted within the geographical area or reported for the geographical area; and providing an alarm notification based on the aerial device lacking a correspondence to a remote identifier which is transmitted within the geographical area or reported for the geographical area.

  • Patent number: 10971427
Abstract: Thermal coupling with between an electrical component, such as a CPU, and a heatsink can be provided by a movable heatsink insert separate from the heatsink. This movable heatsink insert can be placed on the electrical component. The heatsink can be thermally coupled to that additional thermal conductor. The heatsink, which is attached to the printed circuit board, is not in direct contact with the electrical component, reducing the likelihood that the heatsink could cause bending of the printed circuit board by pressing down on the electrical component. Further, a spring coupled between the heatsink and the movable heatsink insert can provide further pressure relief such that the heatsink assembly can be attached to an electrical component without applying excessive force to the electrical component.

  • Patent number: 10761708
Abstract: A user configurable tile allows the user to configure a set of threshold values for a corresponding metric. When the metric is calculated by the system, it is compared against the threshold values to determine what range the calculated metric resides in. A corresponding tile is displayed, with a visual indicator that is indicative of the range that the corresponding metric resides in, relative to the one or more threshold values.

  • Patent number: 10710702
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a shape adaptive airfoil configured to be coupled with a tip of an airplane wing. In one embodiment, the shape adaptive airfoil is a blended winglet comprised of a base section coupled with the airplane wing, a blade section projecting in a vertical direction above the base section, and a radius section interconnecting the base and blade sections. Adaptive control structures may be incorporated into leading and trailing edges of the base section and the blade section. The adaptive control structures of the base section may facilitate changing a camber profile of the shape adaptive airfoil. The adaptive control structures of the blade section may enable changes to a toe angle of the blade section.

  • Publication number: 20190152581
Abstract: An apparatus and method for an actuator system to modify an adaptive flap of an aircraft wing. The system may include a drive rod extending from a nose portion of the flap to an interior thereof. A bell crank may be attached to the interior and configured to receive an end of the drive rod. A pivot disposed opposite of the drive rod may couple the bell crank to a mount fixed to a lower surface of a trailing edge portion of the flap. A skin overlap may be configured to allow the lower surface of the trailing edge portion to slide adjacent to a lower surface of a remaining portion of the flap under the action of the drive rod. A bumper may be disposed within the aircraft wing and configured to exert a continuous force on the drive rod when the flap is moved to a retracted state.
