  • Publication number: 20160085411
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for adjusting a display of document clusters is provided. A viewer is positioned over one or more groupings of document clusters within a display. A concept is identified for one or more of the document cluster groupings and each concept is aligned around a circumference of the viewer adjacent to the document cluster grouping for that concept. A view of the document cluster groupings is adjusted within the display and the concepts are redrawn around the viewer circumference to prevent overlap of the concepts.

  • Patent number: 9176642
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for displaying clusters via a dynamic user interface is presented. Cluster spines are displayed and each cluster spine includes two or more clusters of documents. At least one compass frames at least a portion of one or more of the cluster spines in the display. At least one label is generated to identify a concept of one of the framed cluster spines. The label is circumferentially displayed around the compass. Then, the concept is changed as the compass moves over others of the cluster spines.

  • Publication number: 20150195242
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for creating and visualizing a social network are provided. A social network is created based on a traffic pattern of messages exchanged between two or more entities. A sender and a recipient of each exchanged message in the set are identified as the entities. A link is created between the identified sender and recipient for each exchanged message. A representation of the social network is generated by representing each of the entities via a node, selecting one of the nodes within the social network, and arranging the nodes of the unselected entities relative to the selected node and based on the links. One of a positive and negative position of each of the unselected entity nodes from the selected node is identified.

  • Patent number: 8982728
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for visualizing message-related relationships within a social network is provided. Entities associated with a group of messages are identified. A social network is built based on a relationship of the entities and messages by connecting those entities that share at least one of the messages from the group. A representation of the social network is generated by representing each message with a node. The nodes are organized based on at least one characteristic of the messages.

  • Patent number: 8402395
Abstract: A system and method for providing a dynamic user interface for a dense three-dimensional scene with a plurality of compasses is presented. Clusters of semantically scored documents are placed in a three-dimensional scene and arranged as a cluster spine. Each cluster spine is projected into a two-dimensional display. A compass and another compass are provided via a heads-up display generator to logically frame at least one of the cluster spines within the two-dimensional display. A label is generated to identify each concept in one or more cluster spines appearing with the compass and the another compass, respectively. Slots are defined in the two-dimensional display and positioned circumferentially around the compass and the another compass. Each label is assigned to the slot outside of the compass or the another compass for the cluster spine having a closest angularity to the respective slot.

  • Patent number: 8400944
Abstract: A system and method for displaying message-related relationships is provided. Messages are analyzed by identifying entities associated with each message, wherein the entities include senders and recipients of the messages and by accumulating a number of messages communicated between each sender and each recipient. A social network is created by connecting one or more of the senders and recipients via a link based on the number of messages communicated between that sender and that recipient. A semantic network is generated from concepts of the messages. The social network and the semantic network are simultaneously displayed.
