  • Patent number: 10251793
Abstract: A system comprises a series of passive RFID tag sensors each embedded on top of its own matching antenna inside a flexible substrate. The sensors are driven by a controller-transceiver. The controller-transceiver sends RF signals through an antenna to each RFID tag sensor and receives data transmitted back from the same sensors. Sensors are embedded in a flexible substrate positioned under an unaltered incontinence absorbent pad and juxtaposed to derive further information. Multiple sensors provide sensing of physical-environmental data in addition to moisture. The controller makes intelligent and positive incontinence determinations by relating data to profiles indicative of correlation to incontinence conditions.

  • Publication number: 20180373969
Abstract: A method for high density radio frequency identifier (RFID) scanning is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of response signals from a plurality of RFID components. Where each of the plurality of response signals includes a part number and a serial number associated with the RFID component. The method also includes receiving, from a location device, a location of the scanning device. For each of the plurality of RFID components, the method includes determining a component location, the serial number, and the part number based on a corresponding response signal, comparing the component location to an expected location of the RFID component, determining a level of correlation between the serial number associated with the corresponding response signal and a stored serial number associated with the part number, and calculating a confidence score based on the corresponding comparison and the level of correlation.

  • Patent number: 9649230
Abstract: A system for monitoring patient incontinence. A sensor module is positioned next to an impermeable layer of absorbent pad used for urinary or other incontinence. A wired embodiment has the sensor module wired to an external controller. In the wireless embodiment, a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag includes an antenna, moisture sensor, and radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC). A rewritable memory is included in the RFIC to record identifying information associated with the patient. The identifying information is programmed in the RFID tag when it is in the range of an RFID writer. A controller-transceiver in this intelligent underpad monitor system provides excitation energy to operate the RFID tag. The controller-transceiver constantly interrogates the RFID tag to detect any incontinence alarm signal. When incontinence happens, the alarm signal is sent to the controller-transceiver along with user information in the RFID tag memory.

  • Patent number: 8451735
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for dynamic load balancing in a wireless network, such as a wireless local area network (WLAN) and the like. Specifically, the present invention periodically provides dynamic load balancing of mobile devices associated with a plurality of wireless access devices. This may include determining an optimum load and instructing wireless access devices that are overloaded to disassociate some mobile devices based upon predefined criteria. This disassociation is performed in a manner to minimize disruption by disassociating mobile devices with low usage, with close proximity to underutilized wireless access devices, and mobile devices not currently operating critical applications, such as voice.

  • Patent number: 8189547
Abstract: A self-configuration method for access devices in a wireless network begins by performing wireless data collection with the access devices during an automated calibration period. During this time, each access device receives beacons from one or more transmitting access devices, the beacons being transmitted and received using a plurality of different channels available to the wireless network. The method records radio frequency (RF) data associated with the received beacons, and processes the RF data to select, from the plurality of different channels, a respective channel for each of the access devices. In addition, the RF data is processed to adjust transmit power levels for the access devices. The selected channels and adjusted transmit power levels are then used as configuration settings for the access devices.

  • Patent number: 8170050
Abstract: A self-assignment method for assigning detector and working devices among a plurality of access devices in a wireless network begins by performing wireless data collection with the access devices during an automated calibration period. During this time, each access device receives beacons from one or more other transmitting access devices. The method records radio frequency (RF) data associated with beacons received during the wireless data collection, and thereafter automatically designates at least one of the access devices as a detector device, based upon the recorded RF data.

  • Patent number: 8030876
Abstract: A stepper motor device uses compensating non-sinusoidal driving values to compensate for operational non-sinusoidal drive characteristics of a motor of the device due to at least design and manufacturing imperfections in the motor. The compensating non-sinusoidal driving values may be derived using back electromagnetic force produced from the motor or using measured rotational positions of the motor when the motor is driven using known driving values.

  • Publication number: 20100223100
Abstract: Methods and systems for sales networking are provided. A user of a database system can be helped to identify relevant business opportunities from those similar to a selected opportunity. For example, a salesperson can search for similar deals to the one the person is working, contact people who have worked similar deals and ask for their advice, and bookmark those deals to refer back to them as they work the deal. The similar opportunities can be found by matching properties (such as field and related records) of an opportunity record that corresponds to the opportunity of interest.
