Publication number: 20260062794Abstract: An ion implantation system, ion source, and method are provided for forming an aluminum ion beam from an aluminum-containing species to an ion source. One or more of a halide species and a halide molecule are introduced to the ion source, where the halide species is selected from a group consisting of atomic chlorine, atomic bromine, and atomic iodine, and the halide molecule comprises a halide selected from a group consisting of chlorine, bromine, and iodine. The one or more of the halide species and the halide molecule clean one or more components of the ion source and further react with the aluminum-containing species to generate an aluminum-halide vapor. The aluminum ion beam is further formed from at least the aluminum-halide vapor.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 12, 2025Publication date: March 5, 2026Inventors: Neil Colvin, David Sporleder, Udo H. Publication number: 20250308841Abstract: An ion source has an arc chamber defining an arc chamber volume. An inductively heated dopant material source is in fluid communication with the arc chamber volume, and has a crucible containing a dopant species and an inductive heater. An induction heater power supply is coupled to the inductive heater to supply an induction current to the induction heater. A controller controls the induction current such that the inductive heater heats the dopant species to a predetermined temperature based on the induction current and selectively flows the dopant species from the crucible to the arc chamber volume. A material monitoring system determines an amount of the dopant species in the crucible based on an induction current supplied to the induction heater. An intermediary receptor can be heated in the crucible by the induction heater to aid a melting of the dopant species within the crucible.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2025Publication date: October 2, 2025Inventors: Vladimir Romanov, Vladimir Gorelik, Ilya Pokidov, Neil Bassom, David Sporleder, Joseph Valinski, Edward Moore

Patent number: 12051561Abstract: An ion implantation system, ion source, and method are provided having a gaseous aluminum-based ion source material. The gaseous aluminum-based ion source material can be, or include, dimethylaluminum chloride (DMAC), where the DMAC is a liquid that transitions into vapor phase at room temperature. An ion source receives and ionizes the gaseous aluminum-based ion source material to form an ion beam. A low-pressure gas bottle supplies the DMAC as a gas to an arc chamber of the ion source by a primary gas line. A separate, secondary gas line supplies a co-gas, such as a fluorine-containing molecule, to the ion source, where the co-gas and DMAC reduce an energetic carbon cross-contamination and/or increase doubly charged aluminum.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2023Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: Axcelis Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Neil K. Colvin, Neil Bassom, Edward Moore

Patent number: 8285722Abstract: An internet browsing gateway is utilized to locate mobile web content and improve search capabilities for wireless devices. Mobile browsing data is logged as web pages are requested from and returned to wireless devices associated with the same wireless network. An index server continually updates search indexes in real time as users request searches and search results are returned. As a result, the mobile content that is discovered becomes more relevant for users of the same wireless network or mobile carrier. In other words, the search results are more localized in accordance with the location of the wireless network that services the mobile users within a specific geographic region. When a web search is requested from a wireless device, the index server queries the search indexes. The search results are ranked using a search algorithm that incorporates the browsing data to improve the accuracy and relevance of searches.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2009Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: Unwired Planet, Inc.Inventors: Edward Moore, Martin Higham, Robert Finean, Sean MacNeill

Patent number: 7228565Abstract: An event report, such as a virus detection event, is sent from a reporting computer 2 to a receiving computer 6 via an internet link 4. The report data may take the form of a URL requesting a web page 28 to be provided by the receiving computer 6, the URL bearing an encrypted form 24 of the report data that is used to identify the requested web page as well as pass further information to the receiving computer 6. Alternatively, the report data may be collated in the reporting computer 2 and passed to the receiving computer 6 when a computer virus definition data update is requested. The report data seeks to uniquely identify the event by incorporating the MAC address of the reporting computer 2, the date, time, computer product identifier, version identifier, update identifier and driver triggered. Additionally, a checksum derived from the infected file together with an indication of the corrective action, if any, taken by the reporting computer 2 may be included.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2001Date of Patent: June 5, 2007Assignee: McAfee, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Joseph Wolff, Lee Codel Lawson Tarbotton, Edward Moore
