Patent number: 11320153Abstract: A system for selectively enclosing an appliance is provided. The system includes a first device and a second device. The first device detects whether a first door is in a fully open configuration. When the first door is in the fully open configuration, the first device sets the appliance into an operational mode. When the first door is not in the fully open configuration, the first device sets the appliance into a limited mode. The second device includes a locking device and detects whether the appliance is in a working mode. When the appliance is in the working mode, the second device engages the locking device to prevent a motion of the first door away from the fully open configuration. When the appliance is not in the working mode, the second device disengages the locking device to allow the motion of the first door.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2018Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: VIKING RANGE, LLCInventors: Samuel Kirk Clements, Martin D. Patent number: 11260749Abstract: Cooling control systems described herein detect decreased operation of a cooling system of a vehicle, restrict movement of the vehicle without stopping movement responsive to decreased operation of the cooling system, and restrict movement of the vehicle by preventing the vehicle from traveling at a speed and/or power output for a non-zero designated period of time. This can allow for the vehicle to continue moving for a temporary period of time to avoid blocking traffic. Other control systems determine predicted distances and/or times that the vehicle can continue moving before coolant in the cooling system decreases below a designated threshold. Movement of the vehicle can be changed responsive to an upcoming distance and/or time that the vehicle is to travel exceeding the predicted distance and/or time. Other control systems modify a coolant flow rate based on differences between designated and ambient conditions.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2016Date of Patent: March 1, 2022Assignee: Transportation IP Holdings, LLCInventors: Edward Thomas Petrak, Jason Strode, Henry Todd Young, Timothy Warren Brown, Jason Daniel Kuttenkuler, Robert John Zill, Jr., Kenneth Paul Nedley, Jeffrey John Wolff, Pritamkumar Gangwal, Janaki Gadiyaram, Maryam Abdollahi, Joseph Audu Ishaku, Christian Roland Tollefson, Lindsey Dodis, Shivakumar Katukam

Patent number: 11169903Abstract: Embodiments are directed to performing risk-based software validation and to applying change control when upgrading a software application. In one scenario, a computer system calculates a risk score for features in a software application. This risk score indicates a relative level of risk for installing and using the software application. The computer system performs internal usage testing to determine how the software application is recommended for use, and conducts use tests to determine how a specified client uses the features of the software application as compared to the determined recommended use. Then, based on the calculated risk and the determined use of the features, the computer system provides a recommendation for the specified client indicating which portions of the software application are to undergo client-specific validation. In another scenario, a computer system applies change control when upgrading a software application from a first version to a second version.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: MASTERCONTROL, INC.Inventors: Erin Marie Wright, Derek Edward Cramer, Robert Edward Thomas, Chad Milito, Terrance Holbrook, Alexander James Butler

Publication number: 20210064192Abstract: Stacks that associate different electronic content are created using tags that are associated with electronic content. Stacks may be personal, organizational and/or shared. A tag may be associated with different types of electronic content (e.g. documents, people, contacts, meetings, emails, . . . ) that may be stored in different locations. The tag acts as an identifier that travels with the content as the electronic content is used. Content may be automatically/manually tagged. As the tagged content is used, the different applications that interact with the content (e.g. a messaging application, a content application) can use the tag to perform different actions. Changes to content with a tag may be aggregated such that users looking at the “consolidated” view can see all changes made to content or activity related to that content.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2020Publication date: March 4, 2021Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Edward Thomas Banti, Kartik S.
