  • Publication number: 20230046064
Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprises generating computer executable code as one or more code portions; detecting a number of processing operations required to reach one or more predetermined stages in execution of each code portion; and associating with each code portion one or more progress indicators, each representing a respective execution stage of the one or more predetermined stages within execution of that code portion. The code portions are executed by a processor powered by an unpredictable power source. When the processor detects an energy condition indicating that no more than a reserve quantity of electrical energy is available, the progress indicators are used to determine whether or not to perform a checkpoint.

  • Patent number: 11548392
Abstract: Systems and methods for operating an electric power distribution bus of an electric or hybrid vehicle are described. In one example, an output of an electric power consumer is decoupled from other electric power consumers so that electric current drawn from the electric power distribution bus is lowered while the electric power consumer provides a capacitive load to the electric power distribution bus, thereby reducing voltage ripple associated with the electric power distribution bus.

  • Publication number: 20220362390
Abstract: The present invention relates to polypeptides which are covalently bound to non-aromatic molecular scaffolds such that two or more peptide loops are subtended between attachment points to the scaffold. In particular, the invention describes peptides which are high affinity binders of membrane type 1 metalloprotease (MT1-MMP), such as the collagen binding site of MT1-MMP. The invention also describes drug conjugates comprising said peptides, conjugated to one or more effector and/or functional groups which have utility in imaging and targeted cancer therapy.

  • Patent number: 11491670
Abstract: Various systems, apparatuses and methods are disclosed for portioning and/or trimming cooked or pre-cooked bacon slices (or another food product) on a production line at full line speed. An exemplary system may comprise a food conveyor and a portioner. The food conveyor may have at least one transfer mechanism that carries bacon slices over at least one transfer comb. The portioner may have at least one fixed, stationary cutter positioned relative to the transfer comb in the path of the bacon slices. As the transfer mechanism moves the bacon slices across the transfer comb, the bacon slices contact the cutter and are moved by the transfer mechanism over the cutter, which cuts the bacon slices into two or more portions of shorter length.

  • Publication number: 20220261727
Abstract: A novel location and marking system is configured to provide a seamless in-the-field access to resource and asset information databases with automated functionality that effectively and more efficiently manages, controls, and distributes data according to some embodiments. In some embodiments, such systems can enable utilities to manage assets in real-time, provide map asset status, and provide automatic ticket routing, dispatching and management. For example, in some embodiments, the system is configured to generate maps with identifiers or components of an active division including tickets of one or more assets of an active division. These assets include sites of residential and business gas, electrical, and/or water and sewer conduits and metering systems, as well as related underground infrastructure that can be susceptible to earthquakes, ground disturbances, and other emergency situations according to some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 11416417
Abstract: A method is provided that includes reading data in a storage medium, detecting, during the reading of the data in the storage medium, by a controller a change in an encryption/decryption scheme used to read and write the data in the storage medium, in response to detecting the change in encryption/decryption scheme in the data, causing, by the controller, a logical block address to return an indication of being written in zeros when a physical block address associated with the logical block address encrypted using an first encryption/decryption scheme, and causing, by the controller, a write channel to write zeroes using a second encryption/decryption scheme to the physical block address.

  • Patent number: 11378570
Abstract: A cytotoxicity method for medical devices that has equivalent sensitivity, and greater efficiency compared to the colony formation assay (CFA) direct contact method is developed. The quantitative, direct contact cytotoxicity test method uses Mouse lymphoma TK or human lymphoblastoid TK6 suspension cells for medical device safety assessment. The advantages of using the suspension cell assay over adherent V79-4 cells is that this approach is quantitative, automated, not susceptible to potential mechanical damage imparted by the overlying test materials, and avoids issues related to non-adherence of cells to the test material which might impact the interpretation of test results.
