  • Publication number: 20090010918
Abstract: Methods for treatment by collagenase injections are provided, which are effective in dissolving and lysing a collagenase septa network to treat carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis and lateral epicondylitis conditions. The methods treat such conditions by injecting or otherwise delivering purified collagenase to the afflicted region of the patient, as well as use of collagenase for manufacture of a medicament for such conditions.

  • Publication number: 20080262961
Abstract: A method of managing risk associated with processing merchant credit card transactions includes establishing a plurality of merchant processing relationships with a plurality of merchants, compiling transaction history for each of the plurality of merchants, identifying a business relationship between at least two of the plurality of merchants, based on the business relationship, associating the at least two merchants into a single processing relationship, and periodically calculating a measure of processing risk for the single processing relationship by, at least in part, combining the transaction history compiled for each of the at least two merchants. In some embodiments the method includes, based on the measure of processing risk, changing a periodic review schedule for the processing relationship.

  • Publication number: 20070139212
Abstract: The disclosure provides for a method and apparatus for generating alerts which prompt a customer representative to initiate communications with a customer relative to the alert. Further provided is a tracking template which is provided to the customer representative, whereby the customer representative can easily provide an input through the tracking template which quickly identifies an action status relative to a given alert. A plurality of different types of alerts can be generated, and these different alerts can be given different priority levels corresponding to different levels of escalation within a management structure for an organization.

  • Patent number: 6466220
Abstract: A method and apparatus for display of graphical data is described. The invention provides an architecture for graphics processing. The architecture includes pipelined processing and support for multi-regional graphics. In one embodiment, a graphics driver according to the invention can receive multiple independent streams of graphical data that can be in different graphical formats. The independent streams are synchronized and converted to a common format prior to being processed. In one embodiment, multi-regional graphics are supported with off-screen and on-screen memory regions for processing. The regions of the multi-regional graphic are rendered in an off-screen memory. The data in the off-screen memory are converted to a common format and copied to on-screen memory. The data in the on-screen memory is used to generate an output image. Alpha blending can also be programmed to provide multi-regional graphics or other graphical features.

  • Patent number: 6173317
Abstract: Client computer(s) retrieve and display synchronized annotated multimedia streams from servers dispersed over a diverse computer network which includes local area networks (LANs) and/or wide area networks (WANs) such as the internet. Multimedia streams provided to the client computer(s) can include a compressed video stream for display in a video window and an accompanying compressed audio stream. Annotations, i.e., displayable events, include textual/graphical data in the form of HTML pages with Java applets to be displayed in one or more event windows. The video/audio and annotation streams are produced and then stored in stream server(s). Annotation streams include annotation frames which provide either pointer(s) to the event(s) of interest or include displayable data embedded within the annotation stream. Accordingly, each annotation frame includes either an event locator or an event data.
