  • Publication number: 20050125978
Abstract: Disclosed is a pressing device (1) for compressingly joining pipe-shaped workpieces, particularly a pipe end (2) and a fitting (3) mounted thereon. At least one of the workpieces is plastically deformed by several press members which are movable along a central longitudinal axis of the workpieces for performing the compression. In order to produce a pressing device with several compression jaws that are comparatively easy to mount and allow the press members to be engaged as centrally as possible during compression, at least two press members are pivotally connected to each other by means of two articulated levers embodied as angle levers for applying compression force. The angle levers pressingly lean on a (first) press member (5), and both angle levers are train-connected to the same (second) press member (6).

  • Patent number: 6886226
Abstract: A hand-held riveting tool is driven by a battery-powered electric motor, and comprises a hydraulically-actuated riveting head, and a reciprocating hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor. The tool includes a reservoir for hydraulic fluid, the hydraulic supply line from the pump to the riveting head being connected to the reservoir by a reservoir inlet valve which is normally open to allow hydraulic fluid to flow from the supply line into the reservoir. Operation of the tool-actuating trigger firstly closes the reservoir inlet valve, and then switches on the electric motor to operate the pump. Release of the tool-actuating trigger firstly switches off the electric motor to stop operation of the pump, and then opens the reservoir inlet valve. When the reservoir inlet valve is closed by operation of the trigger, it acts as a pressure-relief valve to relieve over-pressure of hydraulic fluid.

  • Publication number: 20040182189
Abstract: A gear mechanism or motor includes a shaft, and output rotary bodies which are in engagement therewith. The bodies interact with the shaft in the radial direction, by bearing against the shaft, and interact in the axial direction of the shaft with an upper guideway body which can move in the axial direction and is loaded toward the bodies. An interaction region of the shaft has a circular cross section. A guideway of the guideway body is structured in terms of its height over its periphery.

  • Publication number: 20040107754
Abstract: The invention relates to an expansion tool (1) for expanding tube ends (7). Said expansion tool has an expansion mandrel (8) and a counter-support (9), said expansion mandrel (8) consisting of a tow-bar (10) and an elastic rubber expansion element (11) surrounding it. The counter-support (9) supports the expansion element on the base extremity and radially surrounds it at a distance. In order to improve an expansion tool of the above-described kind, the tow-bar (10) is anchored in a bolt fastening element (20) and the counter-support (9) can be impinged upon via a pressure bar element (25) that projects beyond the bolt fastening element (20) in the longitudinal direction of the tow-bar (10).

  • Publication number: 20040079132
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressing tool (8) provided with three or four press mandrels (12, 15) which move towards each other during the pressing process. The press mandrels (12-15) have a roof-shaped transversal profile. The lateral distance (36) between the press mandrels (12-15) is increasingly reduced during the pressing process. An extending element (37) is arranged between two press mandrels, extending from one press mandrel to another press mandrel and being inserted into the other press mandrel during the pressing process. The aim of the invention is to improve said pressing device and to improve pressing. In order to block the above-mentioned distance (36), the extending element (37) is disposed in such a way that both roof edges (38) of the corresponding press mandrels cut across said extending element (37) in an initial position.

  • Patent number: 6401515
Abstract: A method for operating a hydraulic pressing device, for example, a pipe clamping device, that includes a stationary part and a moving part. The hydraulic pressing device also includes an automatically actuating return valve. The moving part of the hydraulic pressing device is displaced relative to the stationary part until a predetermined pressure is reached. At that point, the moving part returns automatically and completely back into its initial position, which is released as a result of the predetermined pressure being reached. The moving part is biased into its initial position by means of a return spring and, on removal of the restoring force, returns automatically back into its initial, closed condition.
