  • Patent number: 9561535
Abstract: A method for milling a cutout using a milling cutter in a workpiece is provided. A longitudinal axis of the milling cutter is positioned in a first orientation relative to the workpiece to contact a first side of the workpiece. An enveloping cylindrical surface of the milling cutter is then used to cut a cutout which has a plurality of peripheral edges and rounded corners. The milling cutter is then placed in a second orientation which is angled relative to the first orientation. Thereafter, the enveloping cylindrical surface and an enveloping axial surface of the milling cutter are used to further cut the rounded corners of the cutout to form sharp corners.

  • Publication number: 20160332206
Abstract: The invention relates first to a hand tool, including a working head, which is actuated by an electric motor and/or by a hydraulic medium and which has a working part, and including a sensor for detecting a spatial motion, wherein the working part travels through a motion sequence as the result of a first triggering by a user in order to perform a working process. In order to specify a hand tool that allows a reliable series of actuations at differential spatial orientations of the tool to be achieved, according to the invention an additional triggering is possible only if the working part has ended the motion sequence resulting from the first triggering and the tool has been spatially moved overall thereafter.

  • Patent number: 9255601
Abstract: The invention relates in first instance to a nut having a first part (11) which has a first through opening (O1), and having a second part (12) which has a opening (O2) having an opening contour, the parts (11, 12) being connected so as to be rotatable about a rotational axis (A) which passes through the openings (O1, O2), and the openings (O1, O2) being aligned with one another, in addition, the first opening (O1) on its inner face having a profile which extends in the peripheral direction and which is interrupted in the peripheral direction. In order to provide a nut which is quickly mountable on a threaded bolt, and which has a simple design that allows greater security against the nut coming off the threaded bolt, it is proposed that the opening contour of the second opening is non-circular. The invention further relates to a combination of a bolt (4) having a cross-sectional area with a nut (10).

  • Publication number: 20160023419
Abstract: A method of operating a motor-actuated handheld pressing unit includes actuating a switch to initiate a pressing operation whereby one or more pressing jaws are moved from a starting position to a closed pressing position; automatically releasing the one or more pressing jaws by using a pressing piston when a prescribed pressing force has been reached, the pressing piston being actuated hydraulically by a hydraulic medium; and checking the reaching of the prescribed pressing force by using a pressure sensor to detect the pressure of the hydraulic medium. In an embodiment, the release of the pressing jaws may be interrupted. In an embodiment, a motor moves the jaws from the starting position to the closed pressing position. In an embodiment, the pressing force is continuously measured on intervals of less than one second.

  • Publication number: 20150364889
Abstract: A handheld hydraulically actuatable crimping device includes a hydraulic piston that can be displaced in a cylinder against the force of a spring. The piston is connected to a crimping part by a piston rod in order to carry out a crimping operation. The piston includes first and second partial pistons with first and second partial application faces which can be acted upon with hydraulic medium that has the same hydraulic pressure. Both partial pistons are respectively connected to a first and a second crimping part. The second crimping part can at a greater traveling distance only be acted upon with the second partial piston. The second crimping part can be acted upon with both partial pistons over a first partial traveling distance that is defined by the displacement of the first partial piston from its initial position up to the point, at which it reaches a stop. The first crimping part is axially covered in its entirety by the second crimping part.

  • Patent number: 9180583
Abstract: A hydraulic pressing unit includes a hydraulic pump, supply and hydraulic chambers, moving and stationary parts, a restoring spring, and a return valve provided within or attached to a housing. The moving part is displaced from a starting position into a pressing position as a result of filling the hydraulic chamber with a hydraulic medium from the supply chamber by using the hydraulic pump. The return valve is automatically displaced into an open position as a result of a hydraulic pressure corresponding to the pressing position, and the restoring spring moves the moving part. A piston acts on the flow of the hydraulic medium and lowers the pressure such that the return valve is displaced into the closed position.
