  • Patent number: 5288810
Abstract: A vulcanized rubber composition which is obtained by vulcanizing a modified ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber composition defined below with sulfur or organic peroxides, said modified rubber composition comprising an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber modified with 0.01-0.15% by weight of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof on the basis of the modified ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber and at least one dinitroamine represented by the following formula (A): ##STR1## wherein X represents a divalent chain aliphatic, cyclic aliphatic or aromatic group which may contain a halogen or oxygen, R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a chain aliphatic group, a cyclic aliphatic group or an aromatic group with a proviso that when both X and R.sup.1 represent a chain aliphatic group, nitrogen atoms may further link to each other through R.sup.1, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.

  • Patent number: 5240544
Abstract: An adhesive composition comprising a modified, ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or a modified, ethylene/.alpha.-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber containing 0.1-10% by weight of at least one member selected from the group consisting of an acid anhydride and a dicarboxylic acid, and, if necessary, as an amine compound,(i) 0.2-2 moles of a dialkylamine per mole of the acid anhydride in said modified copolymer rubber when said modified copolymer rubber contains no dicarboxylic acid;(ii) 0.2-2 moles of a polyamine compound per mole of the total amount of the acid anhydride and the dicarboxylic acid in said modified copolymer rubber; or(iii) 0.2-2 moles of a dialkylamine per mole of the acid anhydride in said modified copolymer rubber and 0.2-2 moles of a polyamine compound per mole of the acid anhydride in said modified copolymer rubber when said modified copolymer rubber contains no dicarboxylic acid.

  • Patent number: 4966940
Abstract: A vulcanized, ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber composition obtained by vulcanizing an unvulcanized rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a rubber composition consisting of 0-99% by weight of an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber and 100-1% by weight of an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber containing an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a derivative thereof; and 5-100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin, wherein an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber is at least one selected from ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymers and ethylene/.alpha.-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymers. The vulcanized, ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber composition of the present invention has a high hardness and is excellent in weather resistance and thermal resistance as compared with natural rubbers and general-purpose rubbers.
