    Abstract: A fuse box includes a lower cover and an upper cover mounted on an intermediate case to form a box. A large-capacity fuse having an input terminal and an output terminal projecting in substantially opposite directions from one side surface of a body of the fuse is accommodated sidelong in the box within the lower cover and the upper cover to make a height of the fuse small. This makes the fuse box compact. The fuse box may be directly mounted on a battery by fixedly mounting it to an upwardly projecting batter post. An input-side bus bar to be accommodated in the box and the input terminal are fixed to each other with a screw, with one end of the input-side bus bar overlapping the input terminal. An output-side bus bar to be accommodated in the box and the output terminal are fixed to each other with a screw, with one end of the output-side bus bar overlapping the output terminal. A connection piece rigidly mounts the fuse box to the battery post.

The second flexible fingers are inwardly and outwardly flexible and include inwardly extending lip portions for engaging lateral surfaces of an electronic component.

    Abstract: An electrical junction box for a motor vehicle comprises a casing, a pair of bus bars accommodated in and secured to the casing with the bus bars being exposed outward, and a fusible link having a link body, an input terminal and an output terminal that extend from the opposite sides of the link body. The input and output terminals are secured to the bus bars by bolts, respectively. The input and output terminals of the fusible are provided on the opposite side edges with ribs, respectively. Folding the bus bars forms U-bend portions to contact with outer side surfaces of the ribs. Alternatively, the U-bend portions may be provided on the inner surfaces of the casing.

    Abstract: A drainage structure of an electric parts accommodation box includes a drainage port formed on a bottom wall of the box, a cut-out portion that is continuous with the drainage port, a tip of which tapers off to form an acute angle, and a water-leading groove that is continuous with the tip, formed on an outer surface of the bottom wall. With this, a droplet that sticks to the water-leading groove disposed on the outer surface of the bottom wall is brought into contact with a droplet that sticks to the tip of the cut-out portion disposed on an inner surface of the bottom wall to flow out a droplet that sticks to a peripheral edge of the drainage port to the outer surface of the bottom wall. This more effectively drains liquid droplets that would otherwise remain within the box to reduce current leaks caused by such droplets coming into contact with electrical components in the box, such as closely spaced bus bars.

    Abstract: A fuse-containing box is formed by placing a battery fuse and a bus bar connected to a terminal of the battery fuse on a supporting plate and by mounting a lower case and an upper case on the supporting plate. The fuse-containing box is mounted on an upper surface of a battery. A battery terminal to be fixedly fitted on a battery post projecting from the upper surface of the battery is fastened to the bus bar to electrically connect the battery fuse and the battery to each other. The lower case and the upper case are formed from a polypropylene-based resin. The supporting plate on which the battery fuse and the bus bar are mounted is formed from a heat-resistant nylon-based resin.

Through-holes into which battery posts are inserted are formed at predetermined positions of the supporting plate. A positioning emboss portion is projected from the supporting plate. A fit-on portion is formed at a position corresponding to the emboss portion of the supporting plate of the fuse box. The fuse box is mounted on an upper surface of the supporting plate, with the battery posts in penetration through the through-holes of the supporting plate. A circular arc portion of a battery terminal is fixedly fitted on the battery post. The emboss portion is fitted on the fit-on portion.
