  • Patent number: 10193831
Abstract: A packet processing system and method for processing data units are provided. A packet processing system includes a processor, first memory having a first latency, and second memory having a second latency that is higher than the first latency. A first portion of a queue for queuing data units utilized by the processor is disposed in the first memory, and a second portion of the queue is disposed in the second memory. A queue manager is configured to push new data units to the second portion of the queue and generate an indication linking a new data unit to an earlier-received data unit in the queue. The queue manager is configured to transfer one or more queued data units from the second portion of the queue to the first portion of the queue prior to popping the queued data unit from the queue, and to update the indication.

  • Publication number: 20180357010
Abstract: A method and apparatus for optimizing read operations during a control sync operation on a data storage device are disclosed. The data storage device contains a management table used for mapping memory addresses to a non-volatile memory. A control sync operation makes a copy of the management table to the non-volatile memory. The control sync operation is non-blocking—the sync operation allows read and write operations in parallel with making a copy of or updating the management table. During the control sync operation, the read operations are optimized through a CUQ and an overlap range table. The CUQ may act as a temporary management table while also containing updates to be consolidated to the management table. The overlap range table is used to allow skipping searches within the CUQ by identifying then mapping entries that reside within CUQ.

  • Publication number: 20180336588
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a customer engagement platform experimentation framework. Experiments are created to determine which variation of a particular promotion (i.e., an experiment) is most effective. Initially, users are split into buckets that define whether a particular user is in a control group or a treatment group for a particular experiment. Users are assigned into buckets differently for unrelated experiments and similarly for related experiments. This ensures the users are in either the control group or the treatment group for all related experiments. Key performance indicators (KPIs) of users that experienced the experiment are compared with KPIs of users that did not experience the experiment. An assessment of the experiment can then be provided based on the compared KPIs.

  • Publication number: 20180301385
Abstract: A method of overlay control in silicon wafer manufacturing comprises firstly locating a target comprising a diffraction grating on a wafer layer; and then measuring the alignment of patterns in successive layers of the wafer. The location of the target may be done by the pupil camera rather than a vision camera by scanning the target to obtain pupil images at different locations along a first axis. The pupil images may comprise a first order diffraction pattern for each location. A measurement of signal intensity in the first order diffraction pattern is then obtained for each location. The variation of signal intensity with location along each axis is then analyzed to calculate the location of a feature in the target.
