Abstract: Data is transmitted via time division multiple access methods and every radio cell includes one base station each for the radio coverage of a plurality of mobile stations assigned to the radio cell. The base station receives, in addition to mobile station signals of its own radio cell, mobile station signals of neighboring radio cells and determines, on the basis of the mobile station signals received, a time synchronization value and/or a frequency synchronization value to which the base station synchronizes itself.

Abstract: Radio system resource management is provided in a cellular radio communication network like a multiple-carrier network. Information is transmitted on at least one frequency range consisting of a plurality of sub-carriers. The sub-carriers of the frequency range are temporarily made available to each cellular radio for transmitting information. The sub-carriers of the frequency range are temporarily assigned to a given number of cellular radios in such a way that each assigned sub-carrier is made available to a set of the cellular radios for information transmission. In the transmission framework, the assignment of information necessary for a transmission decision reduces the signalling complexity to a single symbol OFDM, thereby reducing interferences and increasing spectrum efficiency.

Abstract: A data packet is sent from a first radio station to several second radio stations in a transmission channel, whereby the data packet is provided with a first error protection for a first transmission over the radio interface. Subsequently, the data packet is sent by the first radio station to the second radio station at least one further time, whereby the data packet is provided with a second error protection for further transmission over the radio interface, which has a higher redundancy than the first error protection.

Abstract: OFDM symbols are generated using data from one or more users or from one or more data sources represented on a number of sub-carriers. To inhibit multiple-access interference on application of the CDMA principle, the data are transformed in a data-source specific manner and only subsequently allocated to the sub-carriers, independently of the transformation.
