  • Publication number: 20120015706
Abstract: A method and system for providing games of chance based on partial entries are disclosed. The method comprises exchanging partial entries in a non-intrusive manner amongst participants, and combining partial entries to make complete entries to enter into draws for prizes. A drawing server may implement a variety of reward schemes, and prize certificates or notifications may then be communicated electronically. The disclosed method and system may also be used for product or brand promotions. Prizes certificates may be redeemed online or at a point of sale equipped with a validation terminal in communication with the drawing server.

  • Patent number: 7941561
Abstract: A system and method for formatted inter-node communications over a computer network comprises a transmitting node transmitting a message in a format acceptable to the receiving node. Message templates are created by the receiving node and then stored in a repository accessible by both the transmitting node and the receiving node. The message templates are identified by a digital ID tag and comprise a pattern of labeled fields visible to the transmitting node and accessible for message input by the transmitting node. When the transmitting nodes wishes to send a message only those templates acceptable to the receiving node will be available to the transmitting node.

  • Publication number: 20070180056
Abstract: The invention proposes improved methods and system for registering top level domains (TLDs) and second (or lower) level domains (SLDs) suitable for open top level domain environment having a large, generally unlimited, number of TLDs. The method comprises the step of categorizing the TLD to be registered by assigning at least one series of labels to the TLD, which preferably form a hierarchy of TLD categories. A method for registering lower level domains in an open TLD environment is provided, where verifying for potential existing conflicts with existing TLDs is performed. A corresponding system for registering TLDs and lower level domains in an open TLD environment is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060218289
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for registering unlimited non-ICANN top-level domain (TLD) names that are created on demand, and for utilizing them in a network environment in parallel with those specified by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) or other authority authorized to approve standardized top-level domain names. One embodiment of the present invention provides systems and methods for registering a non-ICANN TLD name by mapping it to an IP address using a predefined mapping function, assigning the resulting IP address to a server system that acts as the name server for TLD name, and subsequently using the said predefined function when a user enters an Internet address containing said TLD name on a client computer in order to compute the IP address of the said name server and access it. Further, one embodiment of the present invention is operable with proxy servers.
