  • Patent number: 11903712
Abstract: Proposed are concepts of identifying physiological stress of a user of a virtual reality environment by displaying to the user a virtual object at an object location within the virtual reality environment and instructing the user to interact with the displayed virtual object. A measure of physiological stress may then be determined based on a detected parameter of the user's movement in response to the instruction, and the measure of physiological stress may be associated with a part of the user's body based on the object location.

  • Patent number: 10771311
Abstract: A method and system. A first computer device sends to a second computer device, via a broadcast or multicast communication, an event notification of a notifiable management event, The first computer device may connect to a management network via only a first network switch, wherein the first computer device is unable to notify a management device of the notifiable management event via the management network because the first computer device is unable to connect to the management network via the first network switch. The first computer device receives, from the second computer device via a first unicast communication, an acknowledgment of the event notification, wherein the second computer device is able to connect to the management network via the second network switch. The broadcast or multicast communication and the first unicast communication each use a short-range wireless communications technology comprising visible light communication or data-over-audio communication.

  • Patent number: 10685512
Abstract: A network lock system and a method for operating the network lock system. The network lock system includes a lock mechanism and a device adapter for applying a power signal to a lock mechanism in which a bolt and a latch are locked together. The lock mechanism includes an electromagnet and a compressible spring. The power signal provides power to the electromagnet which causes the bolt to be attracted into the electromagnet by an electromagnetic force exceeding a compression force of a spring which causes the bolt to be released from the latch and causes the bolt to be surrounded by the electromagnet. Withdrawing the power signal from the lock mechanism removes the power provided to the lock mechanism which removes the electromagnetic force resulting in the compression force of the spring pushing the bolt into the latch causing the bolt and the latch to be locked together.

  • Patent number: 10452508
Abstract: In an approach for managing a set of tests to run on a set of platforms, a processor identifies a set of tests to run on a set of platforms and one or more priorities associated with the set of tests. A processor sends the set of tests and the one or more priorities associated with the set of tests to the set of platforms. A processor receives information about a first test run of a first test on a first platform of the set of platforms. A processor determines that the first test failed on the first platform. A processor updates the one or more priorities associated with the set of tests. A processor sends the updated one or more priorities associated with the set of tests to at least the second platform.

  • Patent number: 10354464
Abstract: A network lock system and a method for operating the network lock system. The network lock system includes: a battery controller for turning on a microcontroller using power in a battery, in response to a determination by the battery controller that there is enough power in the battery to turn on the microcontroller; the microcontroller after being turned on, for receiving a wireless signal and in response, for generating a lock signal to activate a device adapter; the device adapter for applying a power signal to a lock mechanism, in response to the device adapter having been activated by the lock signal; and the lock mechanism for locking a first lock part to a second lock part together, and for releasing the first lock part locked to the second lock part in response to the lock mechanism having received the power signal from the device adapter.

  • Patent number: 9921893
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for selecting one of a plurality of versions of a software component of a message queuing software product to perform a task. One or more rules describing one or more characteristics of the plurality of versions of the software component is provided. Responsive to a determination that the rule applies to the task to be performed: a list of the plurality of versions of the message queuing software product is obtained, it is checked whether the software component of the one of the plurality of versions of the message queuing software product is available for use; and the most preferred version of the message queuing software component available is used to perform the task. Responsive to a determination that none of the rules apply to the task to be performed, the task is performed with the most preferred version of the message queuing software component.
