  • Publication number: 20140137196
Abstract: The present invention consists of a computer security method that enables all users of a computer application to enjoy superior security levels when sensitive information is being exchanged with transaction applications. The method of the present invention consists of developing a virtual desktop or isolated execution environment that restricts the user to working in a specific zone. Said virtual desktop or isolated environment is programmed in such a way that message listening techniques such as hooking or quartz techniques are implanted for intercepting messages between the transaction application, such as the electronic bank, and the user's Operating System (OS). The method that is used in the present invention also blocks special key combinations in order to prevent malicious code execution in OS support devices, like Apple® IOS and Google™ Android, where special key combinations are not evident, but combinations such as “*#06#” exist.

  • Publication number: 20130302269
Abstract: An insect control formulation including methyl eugenol, cue lure and a biodegradable wax carrier is a surprisingly effective attractant for Oriental fruit flies (Bactrocera dorsalis) and Melon flies (Bactrocera cucurbitae). Formulation embodiments that include at least one insect toxicant are surprisingly effective for use in fruit fly MAT attract and kill systems, and are suitable for on-crop or off-crop uses. Formulation embodiments can be provided as aqueous emulsions having viscosities appropriate for use in aerial or backpack spray applications or for delivery using caulk gun-type or grease pump-type devices. Other formulation embodiments can be provided as solid blocks, granules or powders.

  • Patent number: 6422840
Abstract: A pump having both a short stroke pumping mode and a long stroke pumping mode. The pump has two material cylinders, each with an attached hydraulic cylinder for operating a piston rod extending through both the material and hydraulic cylinders. The piston rods are driven by hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic cylinders and are synchronized so that as one piston rod extends, the other piston rod retracts. The piston rods draw material into the material cylinders when retracting, and pump material out of the material cylinders when extending. To pump in a short stroke mode, a diverter valve is placed between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic cylinders which diverts an amount of hydraulic fluid to the cylinders, causing the hydraulic pistons to only be extended about half the length of the hydraulic cylinder.
