  • Publication number: 20210128947
Abstract: Systems and methods for shuttle mode radiation delivery are described herein. One method for radiation delivery comprises moving the patient platform through the patient treatment region multiple times during a treatment session. This may be referred to as patient platform or couch shuttling (i.e., couch shuttle mode). Another method for radiation delivery comprises moving the therapeutic radiation source jaw across a range of positions during a treatment session. The jaw may move across the same range of positions multiple times during a treatment session. This may be referred to as jaw shuttling (i.e., jaw shuttle mode). Some methods combine couch shuttle mode and jaw shuttle mode. Methods of dynamic or pipelined normalization are also described.

  • Publication number: 20210057628
Abstract: A temperature control system for a motor vehicle includes a thermotactile user interface having a plurality of adjacent thermoelectric units arranged in an array, each thermoelectric unit having a thermoelectric surface whose temperature varies with an amount of current supplied to the thermoelectric unit. A controller controls the amount of current supplied to each thermoelectric unit such that the temperature of each thermoelectric surface in the array progressively increases or decreases along the array. The system also includes a sensor system that detects a user selection of one of the thermoelectric surfaces as corresponding to a desired temperature. In response to the detected user selection, the controller controls a temperature of a temperature controlled medium of the motor vehicle, e.g., controls the vehicle's cabin climate, to match the temperature of the selected thermoelectric surface.

  • Publication number: 20210030420
Abstract: A polymeric ligation clip includes first and second jaws that support a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism includes a latch member that is supported on one end of the first jaw and a latch member receiver that is supported on one end of the second jaw. The latch member and the latch member receiver are movable into engagement with each other when the ligation clip is moved to a clamped position to secure the ligation clip in the clamped position. The latch mechanism is configured to facilitate closure of the ligation clip with less force than required for closure of existing polymeric ligation clips. In addition, the latch mechanism is configured to provide more secure closure of the ligation clip to minimize a likelihood of inadvertent opening of the ligation clip during use.
