Abstract: For pulsed injection of liquids into the ground, the tool has a rotating cylinder, having through-slots. The tool has an insert, which is pressed against the rotating cylinder. As the cylinder rotates, the slots in the rotor cover/uncover the slots in the insert, creating the required pulses. By suitably shaping the slots, the pulses can have a fast rise-time from closed to open. The insert is shaped to minimize flow interference.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a computer program product are provided for implementing At-Speed Wafer Final Test (WFT) with total integrated circuit chip coverage including high speed off-chip receiver and driver input/output (I/O) circuits. An integrated circuit (IC) chip includes off-chip Controlled Collapse Chip Connection (C4) nodes and a driver and a receiver of the off-chip receiver and driver input/output (I/O) circuits connected to respective off-chip C4 nodes. Through Silicon Vias (TSVs) are added to the connections of the driver and the receiver and the respective off-chip C4 nodes to a backside of the IC chip. A metal wire is added to the IC chip backside connecting the TSVs and creating a connection path between the driver and the receiver that is used for the at-speed WFT testing of the I/O circuits.

Abstract: A network storage monitor system includes a device driver running on each of at least one first computer and a monitor application running on a second computer in communication with the each first computer. Each first computer also is in communication with a network storage switch and the network storage switch is in communication with at least one storage device. Each device driver sends to the second computer data regarding a storage event when the storage event is initiated by the respective first computer.

Abstract: A system, apparatus and method provide a means for controlling an electric brake actuator. An electromechanical actuator controller (EMAC) is configured to receive first data indicative of a desired braking force, second data indicative of a braking command generated by a brake input device, the second data different from said first data, and third data indicative of a braking mode. Based on the third data, the EMAC selectively uses the first data or the second data to control the actuator.

Abstract: Provided are ethylene-based copolymers, methods of preparing the same, lubricating oil compositions including the same, methods for preparing such lubricating oil compositions, and end uses for such ethylene-based copolymers and lubricating oil compositions. The ethylene-based copolymers may include less than about 80 wt. % of units derived from ethylene and one or more alpha-olefin comonomers having 3 to 20 carbon atoms. The ethylene-based copolymers have a melting peak (Tm), as measured by DSC, of 80° C. or less, and a polydispersity index of about 2.8 or less. In some embodiments, the ethylene-based copolymers have an intramolecular composition distribution of about 50 wt. % or less and/or an intermolecular composition distribution of about 50 wt. % or less.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a direct injection semiconductor memory device having ganged carrier injection lines are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as an apparatus including a first region coupled to a bit line and a second region coupled to a source line. The apparatus may also comprise a body region spaced apart from and capacitively coupled to a word line, wherein the body region is electrically floating and disposed between the first region and the second region. The apparatus may further comprise a third region coupled to a constant voltage source via a carrier injection line configured to inject charges into the body region through the second region.

Abstract: An electronic card includes a digital processor, an electrochemical battery and a communications port. The processor and battery are essentially coplanar, and are sandwiched between and enclosed by two flexible covers, preferably made from an insulating plastic material, and preferably fitted to the components that they enclose. The communications port can include, for example, a Smart Card contact port, a stripe emulator, an RF port, and IR port, etc. The battery may comprise a rechargeable battery. In an exemplary embodiment, at least the processor is carried by a flexible printed circuit (PC) board. In other exemplary embodiments, switches and/or indicators are also carried by the PC board. A method for manufacturing an electronic card having at least two components is also disclosed.

Abstract: A circuit for controlling the switch frequency of an inverter that strikes and drives fluorescent lamps is disclosed. The circuit comprises a frequency generator and an offset circuit. The offset circuit provides a current signal in response to the lamp status. The frequency generator provides a frequency control signal in respond to the current signal so as to control the switch frequency of the inverter. When the lamp is open, the switch frequency of the inverter is higher; when the lamp is lighted, the switch frequency of the inverter is lower.
