Abstract: The present invention is directed to providing advertisements for playing on a mobile device based on previously provided information regarding the mobile device user. Information regarding the user is provided to a server, which is also in communication with advertisers that supply advertisements for playing on the mobile device. The server employs the user information to determine which advertisements might be suitable for the mobile device user. The determined advertisements may be cached/recorded on the mobile device for later playback or they can be provided in real time at a scheduled time for the playing of advertisements. Also, advertisements associated/included with the currently playing content could be suppressed in favor of the determined advertisements. Additionally, the currently playing content can be recorded while advertisements are playing on the mobile device; and then the playing of the content can be subsequently resumed from the point where the advertisements started playing.

The watermark also contains at least one of program data identifying the moving image and frame data unique in identifying each frame of the moving image. The program and time data is protected by scrambling. A watermark applicator applies the watermark data to image data representing substantially all of the moving image depending on a characteristic, such as amplitude, of the data.

Abstract: A novel gene defining a novel enzyme in the UDP-D-galactose: b-N-acetyl-glucosamine ?-1,4-galactosyltransferase family, termed ?4Gal-T2, with unique enzymatic properties is disclosed. The enzymatic activity of ?4Gal-T2 is shown to be distinct from that of previously identified enzymes of this gene family. The invention discloses isolated DNA molecules and DNA constructs encoding ?4Gal-T2 and derivatives thereof by way of amino acid deletion, substitution or insertion exhibiting ?4Gal-T2 activity, as well as cloning and expression vectors including such DNA, cells transfected with the vectors, and recombinant methods for providing ?4Gal-T2. The enzyme ?4Gal-T2 and ?4Gal-T2-active derivatives thereof are disclosed, in particular soluble derivatives comprising the catalytically active domain of ?4Gal-T2.

The portion of the plurality of pages is provided using the plurality of defaults and the user is allowed access to at least the portion of the album.

Abstract: The present application is directed to devices and methods for spacing vertebral members. The devices may include a body with major and minor axes. A first pair of opposing sides may be disposed along the minor axis and a second pair of opposing sides may be disposed along the major axis. The device may be rotated from a first orientation with the first pair of opposing sides facing towards the spinous processes to a second orientation with the second pair of opposing sides in contact with and spacing apart the spinous processes. Methods may include inserting a body within an interspinous space between the first and second spinous processes. The body may be inserted in a first orientation with a major axis of the body being aligned with a centerline of the space.

Abstract: A method for delivering targeted advertisement data to opt-in subscribers in an internet protocol television (IPTV) system is disclosed, the system comprising selecting an advertising target group of opt-in IPTV subscribers based on an advertiser's advertising target request; and multicasting an advertisement from an IPTV advertising server to the advertising target group. A system for performing the method is disclosed.

The heuristic algorithm may be trained by means of analytical loads predictions and/or test measurements. The heuristic algorithm may be updated during operation. This invention may potentially reduce the number of unnecessary structural inspections, and may also limit the scope of any such required inspections.

Vector processing may involve performing a plurality of permute operations to arrange vector operands in desired locations of a register prior to performing vector operation, for example, a cross product. The permute instructions may be dependent on one another and may require the use of temporary registers. Embodiments of the invention provide a permute instruction wherein a mask field may be used to specify a particular location of a target register in which to transfer data, thereby reducing the number of instructions for arranging data, reducing dependencies between instructions, and the usage of temporary registers.

Abstract: First activation radiation is provided to a sample that includes phototransformable optical labels (“PTOLs”) to activate a first subset of the PTOLs. Deactivation radiation is provided to the sample to transform activated PTOLs to an unactivated state. The deactivation radiation has a spatially-structured radiation field including intensity minima, such that a second subset of PTOLs located substantially at the intensity minima remain activated, while activated PTOLs exposed to the deactivation radiation outside the minima are transformed into an unactivated form. Excitation radiation is provided to the sample to excite activated PTOLs in the sample located substantially at the intensity minima of the deactivation radiation. Radiation emitted from the activated and excited PTOLs is detected with imaging optics.
