Abstract: Leaderboard information for games can be assembled by a console service and displayed to a user through a console. The leaderboard information can be assembled based on a list of users associated with the user, for example a friends list. Upon selection of a game, a leaderboard service can automatically access the list of users and game records for the list of users based on the game. The leaderboard service then assembles the leaderboard information and transmits the leaderboard information to the console. The leaderboard information can then be selectively displayed to the user.

Abstract: A method provides several modes for recovering hydraulic energy produced by an overrunning load acting on cylinders connected in parallel to a machine component. In one mode, fluid from first chambers in both cylinders is routed into the accumulator, while other fluid is directed into second chambers of those cylinders. In a different mode, fluid is routed from the first chamber of only one cylinder into the accumulator, and fluid from the first chamber of the other cylinder goes into the second chambers of both cylinders. Yet another mode comprises routing fluid from the first chambers of both cylinders into the second chambers of both cylinders. In still another mode, fluid from the first chambers of both cylinders goes into the return conduit while the second chambers of both cylinders receive fluid from a supply conduit. Several modes of reusing the recovered energy are described.

Abstract: An electronic device includes an n-channel transistor and a p-channel transistor. The p-channel transistor has a first gate electrode with a first work function and a first channel region including a semiconductor layer immediately adjacent to a semiconductor substrate. In one embodiment, the first work function is less than the valence band of the semiconductor layer. In another embodiment, the n-channel transistor has a second gate electrode with a second work function different from the first work function and closer to a conduction band than a valence band of a second channel region. A process of forming the electronic device includes forming first and second gate electrodes having first and second work functions, respectively. First and second channel regions having a same minority carrier type are associated with the first and second gate electrodes, respectively.

Abstract: Light units are provided that have a number of different features. In one aspect a light unit comprising a substrate and a display interconnected to the substrate is provided. The substrate includes a power source, a plurality of light elements, a controller operably interconnected to the power source and light elements that activates the light elements to one or more illumination states, and a communications module operably interconnected to the controller and power source. The communications module receives wireless communications and provides information from the wireless communications to the controller, wherein the controller activates the light elements according to information received from the communications module when the communications module receives information related to the activation of the light elements. Other aspects are also disclosed.

Abstract: A single unified level one instruction cache in which some lines may contain traces and other lines in the same congruence class may contain blocks of instructions consistent with conventional cache lines. Control is exercised over which lines are contained within the cache. This invention avoids inefficiencies in the cache by removing trace lines experiencing early exits from the cache, or trace lines that are short, by maintaining a few bits of information about the accuracy of the control flow in a trace cache line and using that information in addition to the LRU (Least Recently Used) bits that maintain the recency information of a cache line, in order to make a replacement decision.

An electronic playset of the present disclosure may include a see-through monitor having a transparent screen configured to display an animated image superimposed over one or more regions. Some embodiments including a see-through monitor with a light source configured to illuminate the one or more regions. Another aspect of the present disclosure provides for a removable toy having an identifiable accessory that may be provided to an electronic playset. Abstract: A method for treatment of HIV infection includes administering at least one anti-HIV drug, such as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor, to a patient in need of such treatment and administering an extract from inflammatory tissue inoculated with vaccinia virus to the patient following the administration of the at least one anti-HIV drug. The extract maintains suppressive action on HIV replication, even if the administration of the anti-HIV drug is terminated.

Abstract: Noise reduction for a switching amplifier system having a differential output stage and demodulator filter responsive to complementary PWM signals includes generating in-phase PWM signals and gradually adjusting their duty cycle between a low duty cycle and the full duty cycle of the complementary PWM signals, generating full duty cycle PWM signals and gradually shifting their relative phase between in-phase and out-of-phase; and in response to a turn-on signal, adjusting the in-phase PWM signals from low to full duty cycle and shifting the relative phase from in-phase to out-of-phase, and in response to a turn-off signal shifting the relative phase from out-of-phase to in-phase and adjusting the in-phase PWM signals from full to low duty cycle for maintaining balanced charge on the demodulation filter to reduce audible noise.

Abstract: A multiblade knife unit includes knife blades of different type normally stored within and adapted for deployment from a common end of a handle housing. A pivoting knife blade is supported for pivotal movement between a stored position nested substantially within one side edge of the handle housing, and a deployed position projecting from one end of the handle housing. A razor-type utility knife blade is supported by a slide clip for sliding displacement between a retracted position stored and concealed within the handle housing, and an advanced position projecting from said one end of the handle housing. A release button on the handle housing is depressed for releasing the utility knife blade from the slide clip for facilitating quick and easy slide-out blade removal and replacement. In one form, the knife unit may further include driver bits interchangeably mounted at an opposite end of the handle housing.

A schedule specifies a planned transmission of a scheduled program between the scheduled start time and the scheduled stop time. The received content is recorded to a saved program. A determination is made that the received content includes an interruption of the scheduled program, and an interruption indicator is saved that specifies a location of the interruption within the saved program. In response to detecting the interruption indicator, a message is presented that indicates the saved program lacks a part of the scheduled program. In response to a playback option, the saved program is played starting at the location of the interruption. In various embodiments, interruptions may result if the saved program lacks a part of the scheduled program, a signal transmission was degraded or lost, or a power outage occurred.

Abstract: A hydrogen fuel system for an internal combustion engine includes an electrolyzer for generating hydrogen and oxygen gases. A water reservoir in fluid communication with the electrolyzer is provided to maintain the water level in the electrolyzer at an optimum operating level. Hydrogen and oxygen generated by the electrolyzer may be routed to the internal combustion engine to provide the fuel for the engine. Hydrogen and oxygen generated by the electrolyzer which is not consumed by operation of the engine may be stored in pressurized storage tanks for use when required to power the internal combustion engine. Expanders are incorporated in the fuel system of the invention for recovering energy from high pressure high enthalpy process gases for charging the main electrical circuit of the invention.

Abstract: A method in a plasma processing system for etching a feature through a given layer on a semiconductor substrate. The method includes placing the substrate in a plasma processing chamber of the plasma processing system. The method also includes flowing an etchant gas mixture into the plasma processing chamber, the etchant gas mixture being configured to etch the given layer. The method additionally includes striking a plasma from the etchant source gas. Furthermore, the method includes etching the feature at least partially through the given layer while applying a bias RF signal to the substrate, the bias RF signal having a bias RF frequency of between about 45 MHz and about 75 MHz. The bias RF signal further has a bias RF power component that is configured to cause the etch feature to be etched with an etch selectivity to a second layer of the substrate that is higher than a predefined selectivity threshold.

Abstract: A method, system and program product are disclosed for optimizing a fleet of measurement systems. One embodiment determines a tool matching precision (TMP) and a fleet measurement precision (FMP) and normalizes these metrics across applications. An optimization is carried out in which usage weighting factors are assigned to each measurement system while enforcing usage enforcement rule(s) to ensure that each measurement system is optimally used and each application is adequately covered. The optimization re-assigns usage weighting factors to minimize a normalized FMP metric and enforce the usage enforcement rule(s).

Abstract: A hydraulic system has a valve assembly with two workports coupled to chambers of first and second cylinders which are connected mechanically in parallel to a machine component. A separation control valve is connected between first chambers of both cylinders, and a shunt control valve is connected between the workports. A recovery control valve couples an accumulator to the first chamber of the second cylinder. Opening and closing the valves in different combinations routes fluid from one or both cylinders into the accumulator where the fluid is stored under pressure, and thereafter enables stored fluid to be used to power one or both cylinders. The shunt control valve is used to route fluid exhausting from one chamber of each cylinder to the other chambers of those cylinders. Thus the hydraulic system recovers and reuses energy in various manners.
