  • Patent number: 12102923
Abstract: A method of determining an authenticity of a normal map is disclosed. An input candidate normal map is received. A reconstructed candidate normal map is generated based on a performance of a mathematical differentiation on an integration of the input candidate normal map. A reconstruction error is determined based on a comparison of the input candidate normal map to the reconstructed candidate normal map. An authenticity of the input candidate normal map is determined based on the reconstruction error being within a configurable threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240294990
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for detecting unique genetic signatures derived from markers such as, for example, mutations, somatic or germ-line, in nucleic acids obtained from biological samples. The sensitivity of the methods provides for detection of mutations associated with a disease, e.g., cancer mutations, or with inherited disease, e.g., an autosomal recessive disease, in a noninvasive manner at ultra-low proportions of sequences carrying mutations to sequences carrying normal, e.g., non-cancer sequences, or a reference sequence, e.g., a human reference genome.

  • Publication number: 20240272711
Abstract: In virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), eye tracking may be performed to determine the user's gaze direction. The gaze direction may be used to enhance user interaction. However, when a user gazes in a particular direction, it could sometimes be the case that there are multiple items located in that gaze direction, each at a different depth. The gaze of direction alone might not be indicative of the item at which the user is looking. Therefore, in some embodiments, to try to further enhance user interaction, a gaze depth of the gaze may be determined. Some embodiments are directed to performing eye tracking to detect a gaze depth of a human's gaze and modifying a user interface (UI) responsive to a change in the gaze depth.

  • Publication number: 20240257474
Abstract: A computer-implemented is disclosed. The method includes: obtaining identifying information for an object, the object being in a field of view of an AR device, wherein the identifying information comprises implicit signals representing contextual data associated with the object; determining that the object is associated with a first object record based on comparing the identifying information with stored identifiers associated with the first object record; and responsive to the determination that the object is associated with the first object record, presenting, via the AR device, AR content that is specific to the first object record.

  • Publication number: 20240249442
Abstract: To improve user experience when interacting with AR content within an AR environment, the AR content may be overlaid over a proxy object in a real-world space. However, issues such as the AR content and the proxy object not being aligned, or occlusion of the proxy object leading to glitching of the AR content, may decrease user enjoyment. In some embodiments, an AR system for the overlay of AR content may be implemented. The system may anchor a virtual model to the proxy object based on detected features on the proxy object. The anchoring may include aligning elements of the virtual model and proxy object. In response to an occluding object occluding some features on the proxy object, the system may anchor the virtual model to the occluding object, or to both the proxy object and the occluding object, based on detected features on the occluding object.

  • Publication number: 20240249443
Abstract: To improve user experience when interacting with AR content within an AR environment, the AR content may be overlaid over a proxy object in a real-world space. Differences in dimension between the proxy object and the virtual model may be such that the object is larger than the virtual model, which may result in portions of the object appearing to protrude from behind the virtual model, decreasing user enjoyment. In some embodiments, an AR system for the overlay of AR content on a proxy object and concealment of the proxy object may be implemented. The system may overlay a virtual model to a proxy object, and then conceal any remaining visible portions of the proxy object from the visual field of a device displaying the AR environment. The system may overlay the virtual model so that any remaining visible portion of the proxy object is a single continuous region.

  • Publication number: 20240201118
Abstract: Described herein are soil probes designed to measure the moisture content of soil. Certain soil probes described herein involve capacitive sensing and comprise a pair of conductive layers (e.g., the top and bottom layers) of a multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB). To reduce variability and enhance the signal of soil moisture measurements, conductive inserts may be interposed between the soil and the PCB, so that the conductive inserts are in physical contact with the soil and are electrically coupled with the conductive layers of the PCB. Probes described herein can leverage the inexpensive nature of PCB-based moisture sensors with the corrosion resistance and/or mechanical strength of conductive inserts. The probe may be enclosed inside a housing to prevent intrusion of water, dust, and/or other contaminants.

  • Publication number: 20240202137
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for concurrent support for multiple cache inclusivity schemes using low priority evict operations. For example, some methods may include, receiving a first eviction message having a lower priority than probe messages from a first inner cache; receiving a second eviction message having a higher priority than probe messages from a second inner cache; transmitting a third eviction message, determined based on the first eviction message, having the lower priority than probe messages to a circuitry that is closer to memory in a cache hierarchy; and, transmitting a fourth eviction message, determined based on the second eviction message, having the lower priority than probe messages to the circuitry that is closer to memory in the cache hierarchy.

  • Publication number: 20240194293
Abstract: Fetal maternal samples taken from pregnant women include both maternal cell-free DNA and fetal cell-free DNA. Described herein are methods for determining a chromosomal abnormality of a test chromosome or a portion thereof in a fetus by analyzing a test maternal sample of a woman carrying said fetus, wherein the test maternal sample comprises fetal cell-free DNA and maternal cell-free DNA. The chromosomal abnormality can be, for example, aneuploidy or the presence of a microdeletion. In some embodiments, the chromosomal abnormality is determined by measuring a dosage of the test chromosome or portion thereof in the test maternal sample, measuring a fetal fraction of cell-free DNA in the test maternal sample, and determining an initial value of likelihood that the test chromosome or the portion thereof in the fetal cell-free DNA is abnormal based on the measured dosage, an expected dosage of the test chromosome or portion thereof, and the measured fetal fraction.

  • Publication number: 20240184718
Abstract: Cache circuitry may be configured to receive a first message to downgrade a permission associated with data stored in a current level cache. For example, the current level cache could be a level two (L2) cache. The cache circuitry could receive the first message from a processor core having a level one (L1) cache. The cache circuitry may forward the first message to a higher level cache. For example, the higher level cache could be a level three (L3) cache. The cache circuitry may downgrade the permission associated with data stored in the current level cache based on receiving a second message from the higher level cache. The cache circuitry may forward the first message before receiving the second message and downgrading the permission. The second message may cause downgrade of the permission in multiple caches (e.g., the L1, L2, and L3 caches).
