  • Patent number: 11909719
Abstract: Techniques and technologies for an Internet Protocol (IP) address management (IPAM) system to track and manage IP address workflows in a network. The IPAM system can be used to define and enforce management policies or rules regarding IP address management, such as allocation policies, refill policies, and so forth. For instance, the IPAM system can enforce allocation policies that define rules to allow or deny allocation of IP addresses based on types of resources for which the IP addresses are requested, registered user accounts that are requesting the IP addresses, the purpose of the resources receiving the IP addresses, and so forth. Additionally, the IPAM system can enforce refill policies that define rules for replenishing inventories of IP addresses that have been allocated for different domains in the network. The IPAM system can improve the management of IP address workflows by enforcing policy and tracking IP address workflows in networks.

  • Patent number: 11892975
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for asynchronously generating consistent snapshots in a distributed system. In one embodiment, a snapshotting agent receives a respective local snapshot for individual processes in a distributed system. The respective local snapshot for a corresponding process includes a corresponding vector clock that comprises respective values indicating respective state changes in the corresponding process and other processes. The snapshotting agent determines whether a collection of the respective local snapshots for the individual processes represents a global consistent snapshot for the distributed system based at least in part on a comparison of the respective values of the corresponding vector clocks.

  • Publication number: 20240032513
Abstract: Preclinical cancer research is heavily dependent on allograft and xenograft models, but current approaches to tumor inoculation yield inconsistent tumor formation and growth, ultimately wasting valuable resources (e.g., animals, time, and money) and limiting experimental progress. A method and kit for tumor inoculation is disclosed using self-assembled hydrogels to reliably generate tumors with low variance in growth. The observed reduction in model variance enables smaller animal cohorts, improved effect observation and higher-powered studies.

  • Publication number: 20240020012
Abstract: A processor core may include circuitry that fetches a first instruction followed by a second instruction. The first instruction may be configured to cause a first memory request, and the second instruction may be configured to cause a second memory request. The circuitry may determine that the first memory request is a candidate for combination with the second memory request. Responsive to the determination, the circuitry may send an indication, from the processor core via a bus, that the first memory request is a candidate for combination.

  • Publication number: 20230416729
Abstract: High-fidelity, high-throughput nucleic acid sequencing enables healthcare practitioners and patients to gain insight into genetic variants and potential health risks. However, previous methods of nucleic acid sequencing often introduces sequencing errors (for example, mutations that arise during the preparation of a nucleic acid library, during amplification, or sequencing). Provided herein are sequencing adapters comprising a nondegenerate or variable length molecular barcode and compositions comprising a plurality of sequencing adapters, which can be useful for sequencing nucleic acids. Further provided are methods of using the sequencing adapters, including methods of sequencing nucleic acids, methods of identifying an error in a nucleic acid sequence, and methods of determining the number of nucleic acid molecules in a library.

  • Patent number: 11854666
Abstract: Fetal maternal samples taken from pregnant women include both maternal cell-free DNA and fetal cell-free DNA. Described herein are methods for determining a chromosomal abnormality of a test chromosome or a portion thereof in a fetus by analyzing a test maternal sample of a woman carrying said fetus, wherein the test maternal sample comprises fetal cell-free DNA and maternal cell-free DNA. The chromosomal abnormality can be, for example, aneuploidy or the presence of a microdeletion. In some embodiments, the chromosomal abnormality is determined by measuring a dosage of the test chromosome or portion thereof in the test maternal sample, measuring a fetal fraction of cell-free DNA in the test maternal sample, and determining an initial value of likelihood that the test chromosome or the portion thereof in the fetal cell-free DNA is abnormal based on the measured dosage, an expected dosage of the test chromosome or portion thereof, and the measured fetal fraction.

  • Publication number: 20230377027
Abstract: In an augmented reality (AR) experience, virtual content may be rendered at a particular position within a 3D spatial map and overlaid onto a view of the real-world space. There may be scenarios in which the user wants to limit a 3D model to being rendered within a particular subspace of the space defined by the 3D spatial map. Computer-implemented methods are disclosed that include receiving input defining a subspace of a 3D spatial map of a real-world space. A set of 3D models may then be filtered to identify a subset of the 3D models that fit within the subspace defined by the input. AR content including a render of a particular 3D model from the subset and overlaid onto a view of the real-world space in a position within the subspace may be output for display.

  • Patent number: 11799826
Abstract: Techniques and technologies for an IP address management (IPAM) system to monitor the usage of IP addresses across regions in one or more networks of resources. The IPAM system may be used to allocate IP addresses to resources in networks and track what IP addresses are being used by resources or available for allocation. The IPAM system may periodically obtain usage information that indicates actual, current IP address usage by the resources in the networks, identify differences between the current IP address usage and an inventory maintained by the IPAM service, and reconcile the differences. Additionally, the IPAM system may further respond to network administrator queries about their resource and IP address usage. Further, the IPAM system may emit various utilization metrics to the network administrators which may be tied to alarms or alerts around non-compliant resources or IP addresses.

  • Patent number: 11784967
Abstract: Techniques implemented by an IP address management (IPAM) system for monitoring the usage of IP addresses in networks of computing resources and automatically notifying networking devices when IP address usage has changed. The IPAM system may create pools of IP addresses (e.g., address groups), and map those pools to prefix lists that are distributed to the networking devices. The IPAM system may monitor changes in IP address usage by resources in the networks (e.g., allocations and releases of IP addresses), update the pools that are affected by the changes, carry those changes through to the appropriate prefix lists, and propagate updated prefix lists to the networking devices (e.g., firewall devices, routing devices, etc.). In this way, the IPAM system may automatically identify and apply IP address changes to prefix lists that are used for networking operations in the networks.
