Abstract: A clip applier includes an outer tube, an actuation member, and an end effector. The actuation member has a distal portion including a cam member. The end effector includes a first jaw and a second jaw. Each of the first and second jaws includes a proximal portion that defines a cam slot. The cam member of the actuation member is operatively engaged with the cam slots of the first and second jaws such that movement of the actuation member from the first position to the second position causes movement of the end effector from an intermediate position to the open position and subsequently to the clamped position.

Abstract: A dynamic touch user interface system includes a touch-input interface, one or more visual indicators, and a plurality of sensors. The touch-input interface has a reference surface that covers one or more touch elements. The touch elements define an active area that allows user communication with a computer through touch. The active area is relocatable along the reference surface in response to detected circumstances. The visual indicators visually identify a location of the active area. The sensors detect the circumstances affecting a relocation of the active area.

The processor is programmed to: (i) verify that a policyholder is eligible to receive a replacement rental; (ii) transmit a customized link to the eligible policyholder; (iii) receive an access request for access of a rental self-service portal, (iv) retrieve policyholder data using information extracted from the customized link; (v) pre-populate a portion of a searchable interface of the rental self-service portal using the retrieved policyholder data; (vi) cause rental vehicle data to be displayed to enable the policyholder to view available rental options and select a vehicle class; (vii) calculate a policyholder cost for renting a selected vehicle class; and (viii) cause to be displayed on the user device (a) the calculated policyholder cost and (b) an option to confirm the rental reservation.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for dynamic, data-driven consolidation of user interface interactions requesting roadside assistance. The method includes identifying a data objective requiring user data, accessing user data, and determining whether the user data satisfies a confidence threshold. Based at least in part on the confidence threshold determination, one of a first data objective representation and a second data objective representation is displayed. A request for roadside assistance—following satisfaction of the confidence threshold—is also issued.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a seal assembly for a surgical access assembly includes forming a seal assembly having a monolithic construction. The seal assembly includes a support member, seal sections connected to the support member, bridges disposed between adjacent seal sections and interconnecting the adjacent seal sections, and a plurality of standoffs extending from each seal section. The method also includes placing the seal assembly into a treatment bath, cutting the bridges, and folding the seal assembly.

Abstract: A rental self-service (“RSS”) computer system for enabling a policyholder of an automobile insurance policy to initiate an insurance replacement rental reservation after submission of an initial loss claim is provided. The RSS computer system includes a processor in communication with a memory. The processor is programmed to: (i) retrieve policyholder insurance data from an insurance provider database using a claim identifier associated with the initial loss claim submission, and a policyholder identifier associated with the policyholder; (ii) verify that the policyholder is eligible to receive an insurance replacement rental; (iii) cause to be displayed on a user device associated with the policyholder a searchable interface configured to enable the policyholder to search for at least one vendor location; (iv) receive a selected vehicle class inputted by the policyholder; (v) calculate a policyholder cost; (vi) display a cost summary; and (vii) receive confirmation of a rental reservation request.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a stationary frame and a thermal ring. The thermal ring may be rotatably coupled to the stationary frame and disposed relative to the stationary frame such that the thermal ring and the stationary frame define an enclosure. The thermal ring may include a thermally-conductive substrate configured to be in thermal contact with a heat-generating component. Heat from the heat-generating component may be transferred to the stationary frame via the enclosure.
