Publication number: 20240220421Abstract: A centralized small footprint, reference counted, buffer pool management scheme is supplemented by a system of pairs of read and write FIFOs to coordinate the central thread and non-central threads and interrupt handlers without the need for synchronization locks or disabling of interrupts. The buffer pool comprises a plurality of different sized buffers. Buffers are organized onto queues and a reference count maintained to track when buffers are placed onto more than one queue at a time. This scheme minimizes buffer copy, promotes fast access and deterministic interrupt handling time. An additional mechanism is presented for exception signaling and event handling that also works without synchronization locks or the disabling of interrupts.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2022Publication date: July 4, 2024Applicant: Bramson Welch & Associates, IncInventor: Eric Howard Welch

Patent number: 11898430Abstract: A system can receive data that can indicate a flow rate with respect to perforations in a reference wellbore. The data can be received from a fiber optic cable in the reference wellbore in a geographic area of interest. The system can determine a uniformity index, which can indicate a uniformity of flow with respect to the perforations, based on the data. The system can generate a pressure-based model by training a model using the uniformity index for applying the pressure-based model to a target wellbore in the geographic area of interest to determine controls to rate and proppant with respect to the target wellbore.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventor: Eric Howard Holley

Publication number: 20230340804Abstract: A compression latch assembly (CLA) includes a latch subassembly that is movably mounted to a housing and includes a frame, a pawl pivotably connected to the frame and biased to move from a closed position to an open position, a trigger pivotably connected to the frame and movable between a home position and a release position, and a release arm pivotably connected to the frame. The release arm has a cam follower that is positioned to engage a cam on the housing. A motor unit is configured for moving the latch subassembly between extended and retracted positions. In the course of moving from the retracted position to the extended position, the cam is configured to urge the cam follower to rotate the trigger from the home position to the release position, which causes the trigger to release the pawl, which causes the pawl to move to the open position.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2021Publication date: October 26, 2023Applicant: Southco, Inc.Inventors: Eric Howard Hammond, David A. Minnich, Kevin A. McCloskey
