    Abstract: Provided are intraoperative devices, the devices comprising a substrate having a plurality of discontinuous cuts formed therein, the plurality of discontinuous cuts being formed such that when the substrate is subjected to deformation, the substrate is capable of deformation beyond an initial state so as to achieve a first shaped three-dimensional state. Through design of the cut patterns in 2D, one can locally control the stretchability and elasticity within the substrate. The substrate can then be deformed into a 3D structure that can provide shape and support to reconstructed tissue in the desired regions while also minimizing operative time and cost. Also provided are related methods of using the disclosed devices; the devices can be used in autologous tissue donation procedures as well as prosthetic procedures.

The covering may have one or more anchoring mechanisms disposed on an edge of the covering. A tissue resecting device may be extendable through the endoscope for resecting the selected tissue for resection. The covering may be deployable to an outer surface of the body lumen, such that the anchoring mechanism may secure the covering to the outer surface of the body lumen and the covering may expand to cover the selected tissue for resection.

    Abstract: The invention includes a copolymer of vinylidene chloride with at least one monounsaturated comonomer and at least one branching monomer in an amount sufficient to increase molecular weight over that of a polymer prepared using the same process and same monomers in the same relative amounts except without the branching monomer, but preferably the branching monomer is present in a quantity not sufficient to result in measurable crosslinking as determined by solubility in tetrahydrofuran at up to 83° C. The invention includes a process for making the polymer and processes for forming the copolymer or compositions thereof as well as articles comprising the copolymer and compositions thereof. The copolymer exhibits improved bubble stability and is particularly useful for processes in which the copolymer is at least partially oriented in formation such as blow molding, formation of monofilament fiber and film blowing.
