Abstract: A hair dryer stand for a handheld hair dryer includes a base and a holder pivotally mounted on the base. The base has a top face, two parallel ears protruding from the top face and two fastening assemblies. The holder has two curved sides and a space. The curved sides are formed together to form the space between the curved sides so the holder is able to clamp a hair dryer. The curved sides also have pivot pins with threaded holes, which are mounted respectively in the ears on the base and held in place by the fastener assemblies. The angle of a hair dryer mounted in the holder can be adjusted relative to the base to accommodate a specific person so that the person is able to use the hair dryer without holding it.

Abstract: The present invention provides a display device, comprising: an input unit, for inputting a data; a storage unit, for storing the input data; an output unit, for displaying the data; a control unit, electrically connected to the input unit, the output unit and the storage unit for controlling the same; a power supply, electrically connected to the input unit, the output unit and the storage unit for providing power to the same; and a housing; wherein the input unit, the output unit, the storage unit, the control unit and the power supply are arranged inside an accommodation space of the housing. In addition, the output unit can be a flexible paper-like display.

Abstract: A hardware-based failover scheme enabling rapid end-to-end recovery is provided. Hardware logic periodically generates, transmits, receives, and processes heartbeat packets, sent from one end of the communications network to another, and then returned back. If a communications network node or communications link failure is being experienced along the transport path, then the hardware logic rapidly swaps the affected traffic conveyed to a pre-established backup transport path, typically within microseconds. Advantages are derived from the rapid failover effected end-to-end which enables continued delivery of provisioned communications services improving the resiliency and/or availability of a communications network.

Abstract: A customer quotation system and method thereof are disclosed. In some embodiments, the system creates quoting data tables for products in accordance with original data tables for production. The system then integrates the quoting data tables to create customer requirement tables compatible with customer quotation systems. The system automatically provides product prices, which are derived from the sum of quotes for process technologies when customers create purchase orders.

The effect of combining a lysing agent that thins menses or other blood-containing bodily fluids with a gelling agent that thickens menses or other blood-containing bodily fluids is enhanced agglomeration and increased viscosity of the blood-containing bodily fluids that come in contact with the treated material.

Abstract: A new method to form an integrated circuit device is achieved. The method comprises providing a substrate. A sacrificial layer is formed overlying the substrate. The sacrificial layer is patterned to form temporary vertical spacers where conductive bonding locations are planned. A conductive layer is deposited overlying the temporary vertical spacers and the substrate. The conductive layer is patterned to form conductive bonding locations overlying the temporary vertical spacers. The temporary vertical spacers are etched away to create voids underlying the conductive bonding locations.

Abstract: An electroosmotic pump used in a closed loop cooling system. The pump includes a fluid chamber, a pumping element, an inlet electrode, an outlet electrode, and means for providing electrical voltage to the inlet electrode and the outlet electrode to produce an electrical field therebetween. The pumping element is configured to pump fluid therethrough, and the pumping element is positioned to segment the fluid chamber into an inlet chamber including a fluid inlet port and an outlet chamber including a fluid outlet port. The size of the inlet chamber is proportional to a predetermined residence time of the inlet chamber. The inlet electrode is positioned within the inlet chamber and a predetermined distance from a first surface of the pumping element. The outlet electrode is positioned within the outlet chamber and a predetermined distance from a second surface of the pumping element.

Abstract: A data switching engine is provided. The data switching engine includes a switching processor used for data traffic forwarding and an traffic management processor used for data traffic management. The switching processor retains all functionality of currently deployed data switching equipment as it relates to data switching and forwarding. The traffic management processor performs data traffic characterization, statistics extraction, service level agreement enforcement, etc. The use of the traffic management processor reduces computational loads otherwise imposed on the switching processor while maintaining or surpassing levels of service provided by currently deployed data switching equipment.

Abstract: A thermally compliant multi-layer wiring structure on a semiconductor chip is described. The multi-layer wiring structure incorporates an “empty” or air gap under the interconnect wiring and does not allow any thermally induced strains to be transmitted to the interconnecting solder balls. This design is to be used in chip scale packaging applications where printed circuit technology is used as the next level of package.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for storing and searching computer node addresses in a computer network system. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a frame forwarding device such as a switch. The switch includes two MAC address tables including a primary MAC address table and secondary MAC address table both for storing and searching MAC addresses. The primary table stores records that contain compressed values of MAC addresses. The records are contained in storage locations that are referenced using the compressed value of the MAC address as a search index. In order to account for searching collisions that may result from different MAC addresses compressing to the same value, each record in the primary address table is linked to a chain of records in the secondary table. The records in the secondary table store the full value of the MAC address. Each chain of records in the secondary address table contains MAC addresses the present invention.

Abstract: A striped material and a stripe focusing plate for making striped material. The stripe focusing plate includes a number of grooves extending through the plate, each groove having a transverse width l. The stripe focusing plate also includes a number of triangular prisms, each adjacent a groove and having a slope between about 70 and about 85 degrees. Particles distributed onto the plate fall through the grooves onto a substrate positioned below the plate to form stripes on the substrate. Each of the stripes has a half-height width L, and a sharpness coefficient L/l of less than 1. The resulting striped material is particularly suitable for use in disposable absorbent articles.

Abstract: A high availability backplane architecture. The backplane system includes redundant node boards operatively communicating with redundant switch fabric boards. Uplink ports of the node boards are logically grouped into trunk ports at one end of the communication link with the switch fabric boards. The node boards and the switch fabric boards routinely perform link integrity checks when operating in a normal mode such that each can independently initiate failover to working ports when a link failure is detected. Link failure is detected either by sending a link heartbeat message after the link has had no traffic for a predetermined interval, or after receiving a predetermined consecutive number of invalid packets. Once the link failure is resolved, operation resumes in normal mode.

Abstract: A method of forwarding payload data units in a virtual networking environment is presented. The method enables a data switching node to separate public access data traffic from private access data traffic. The method further assigns a predefined level of service to public access data traffic. The advantages lie in enabling a multi-port data network node to convey both public and private data traffic with assistance from management software. Improperly configured network devices connected to public access points, whether intentionally or unintentionally, are prevented from affecting data transport performance of the data networking environment in which they participate.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods for securely forwarding data packets at a data switching node in a data transport network is provided. The data switching node maintains a switching database of switching entries. Each switching entry has a modification protection feature preventing its modification when activated. Dynamic topology discovery of data network nodes can be disabled via topology discovery control flags associated with individual physical communications ports of the data switching node. Unknown destination flood data traffic is not replicated to physical communications ports having topology discovery disabled or specifying the suppression of replication of such unknown destination data traffic thereto. The advantages are derived from a data switching node being enabled to operate concurrently in friendly and hostile environments while detecting, preventing and reporting incidences of hostile MAC ADDR attacks.

Abstract: A method of synchronizing the information held in a switching database associated with a switching function of a data switching node, with a data network node identifier record associated with a management processor enabling a managed mode thereof is provided. An entry of the switching database is modified. A status specifier corresponding to the modified entry is set to signify the modification thereof. An inspection of the switching database is initiated on the expiration of an adjustable timer, and the information held in modified switching database entries is synchronized with the data network node identifier record. This method of synchronization of the information held in the switching database spreads out of burst changes thereof over time. The advantages are derived from the use of a more economical management processor while providing the same or enhanced levels of service of the data switching node.
