  • Patent number: 4699425
Abstract: A chair assembly intended for use when taking X-ray pictures includes a chair and wheels for rotating and moving the chair relative to a carriage structure in the directions of the X- and Y-coordinates. Movement in the direction of these coordinates is effected by two guide frames provided with guides. A separate support frame provided with castors is arranged on the seat parts of the chair to prevent the chair from toppling or tipping. The castors of the support frame are normally located at a small distance from the underlying support surface, so as not to impede rotational and coordinate movements of respective chair members. Chair movements are controlled by a stirrup-like control bar having provided in the central portion thereof other control parts for activating the release of locking parts which lock the chair components against rotary movement and movement in the direction of the coordinates.

  • Patent number: 4679223
Abstract: A movably mounted pillar-stand for carrying X-ray equipment, the pillar-stand preferably celling-suspended and having a pendulum arrangement or the like for the purpose of damping natural oscillatory movements. When natural oscillatory movements occur in the pillar-stand when making positional adjustment thereto, the natural oscillatory movement of the stand is effectively extinguished within the space of some few seconds by a damped, counter-directional pendulating movement imparted to the pendulating arrangement by means of the natural oscillatory motion of the stand.

  • Patent number: 4675894
Abstract: A "Potter-box" (1) has a holder or Potter-spade (2) provided with dogging means (5, 6) for centering an X-ray film cassette, or some other X-ray radiation receiver, in the direction of an X-axis and a Y-axis. Movement of the holder between a cassette-change position and a film-exposure position and vice versa, is utilized to drive the dogging means (5, 6) directly via a link system, so as to center or decenter the cassette, thereby rendering the provision of separate operating means for effecting centering or decentering of the cassette unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 4132897
Abstract: A film-cassette holder for an X-ray apparatus is provided with means for removeably mounting the film-cassette in the holder in the correct position therein. The mounting means comprises spring catches which, when the cassette is inserted into the holder, automatically hold said cassette in its correct position in the holder, and which are arranged to permit the cassette to be removed from said holder with the use of only one hand. The cassette is arranged to be released by exerting pressure thereon perpendicularly to the insertion direction followed by a pulling movement in a direction opposite to the insertion direction. The cassette holder is provided with a grid pocket having means for removeably mounting a grid in its correct position in the pocket, spring catches being adapted automatically to mount the grid upon insertion of the grid into said pocket, and adapted to permit removal of the grid upon manipulation of said grid with one hand.

  • Patent number: 4127775
Abstract: A counter-balanced radiography unit stand comprises a column on which a wing arm bearing the radiography equipment is mounted for vertical displacement and rotary movement. Automatically applied brakes for stopping the vertical displacement and the rotary movement, respectively, are electromagnetically releasable by electrically controlled actuating devices, which when approached or contacted by, for example, the hand of an operator, release the corresponding brake so that the swing arm can be rotated and/or displaced. At least one actuating device for releasing the rotary movement brake and/or the vertical displacement brake is so disposed along a substantial part of the swing arm length, that easy reach of the device is accomplished by a person positioned anywhere in the region of the swing arm.The said actuating device may comprise at least one handle disposed on the swing arm.
