  • Publication number: 20230380963
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of replacement heart valves. Embodiments may include a collapsible and expandable frame comprising rows of cells. The frame may include a plurality of axial connection portions extending between top ends and bottom ends of the cells, wherein each axial connecting portion is shaped to bend for accommodating temporary changes in cell height during non-uniform compression of the replacement heart valve. Frames having these features are advantageous when advancing a replacement heart valve through a funnel-shaped compression tool. The axial connection portions are sufficiently flexible to accommodate changes in frame shapes during compression while also being sufficiently resilient for enhancing the structural integrity of the frame in the fully deployed state. The replacement heart valves are preferably dual-frame heart valves, wherein the axial connection portions form a portion of an inner frame and wherein an outer frame is provided for engaging tissue and forming a seal.

  • Publication number: 20230327884
Abstract: The invention consists of a method for a user to generate digital signatures based on a device, e.g. a smart phone, and secret knowledge of the user (Personal Identification Number or PIN) that are completely under control of the user. Characteristic of the invention is that it is based on a software application (A-APP) in the device that innovatively uses a secure part of the device (Secure Cryptographic Environment or SCE) to bind the signature to both the possession of the SCE and the secret knowledge of the user to the digital signature in such a way that the resulting digital signatures complies with regular digital signatures standards. In effect it is like the SCE has implemented a PIN that only allows access to the digital signature generation function after the user has correctly entered that whereas in reality the SCE is completely oblivious of the PIN. Part of the invention is letting a certificate issuer place the generated public keys in digital certificates together with user information.

  • Patent number: 11732991
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a bipod having pivot and cant functionality built into a unified cant/pivot assembly, housing, and pivot block. Rotation of a locking knob under the housing can gradually increase or decrease friction of the cant and pivoting degrees of freedom. Sufficient loosening of the locking knob can allow a pivot block to be lifted from the housing and rotated 180°, and then retightened to lock in a given pivot position. Before this 180 rotation of the pivot block, the pivot block and hence the firearm is free to pivot up to 10°, or up to 20°, or up to 30°.
