  • Patent number: 8568786
Abstract: A method of controlling a physical characteristic of polymeric nanocarrier-encapsulated protein particles includes altering or selecting a weight percentage of a hydrophobic polymer block in a total amphiphilic diblock copolymer of a primary emulsion of a double emulsion, freeze-thaw technique. The primary emulsion is formed using a freeze-thaw cycle of the amphiphilic diblock copolymer and a protein having a molecular weight of up to or equal to 300,000 Da. Selection of the hydrophobic polymer block percentage alters one or more characteristics of the resulting nanoparticles, such as shape. Thus, as one aspect, a method of producing filamentous polymeric nanocarrier-encapsulated protein (i.e.

  • Publication number: 20110193711
Abstract: Method for detecting, in a load (2), the presence of objects suspected of containing at least one material having a given atomic weight, in which the load (2) is exposed to at least a first X-ray beam having a first spectrum and an atomic number class to which the materials, including the load through which the X-rays pass, is determined by high-energy discrimination. Furthermore, at least one g-ray or neutron beam spontaneously emitted by the load is measured, a spontaneous g and/or neutron radiation emission class of the material including the load is determined from the spontaneous radiation measurement, and a class of interest of the material of the load is determined from the atomic number class and the spontaneous radiation class that were determined.

  • Publication number: 20110145301
Abstract: A computer readable medium includes executable instructions to define an individual publication schema for each heterogeneous source of a set of heterogeneous sources. Each individual publication schema specifies mapping rules between data from a heterogeneous source and a non-permanent structured instance of data. A non-permanent structured instance of data as defined by an individual publication schema is generated. An integration schema defining a set of integration rules for combining data from each non-permanent structured instance of data as defined by individual publication schema is established. A target non-permanent structured instance of data to include data from the plurality of heterogeneous sources based on at least one integration schema is formed.

  • Patent number: 7734576
Abstract: A computer readable storage medium includes executable instructions to receive a selection of two or more data source tables from one or more data sources, determine a data source table that defines keys, and receive mapping information that defines one or more column relationships between the data source table and a second data source table. Relationship structures between the data source tables are analyzed. The data source tables and the relationship structures are graphically represented in a sequential order where the order in which the data source tables are depicted is based on a depth of a relationship between the data source table that defines keys and a second data source table.

  • Publication number: 20090174992
Abstract: An information handling system chassis having a passivated surface accepts electrical communication through a conductive ink disposed on a portion of the surface from which the passivation is removed. For example, a magnesium chassis passivated with phosphate has a portion mechanically cleaned and conductive ink placed over the cleaned portion with a pad printing process. The conductive ink provides electrical communication between the chassis and other portions of the chassis, processing component grounds and other electrical connection needs.

  • Publication number: 20080147605
Abstract: The invention includes a computer readable storage medium with executable instructions to translate a data source into a set of data elements, where a data element in the set of data elements includes a set of data properties. The set of data elements is displayed using a visualization. A group of data elements selected from the set of data elements is received. A group of data properties selected from the set of data properties associated with each data element in the group of data elements is received. A table schema for data elements in the group of data elements is provided. The group of data elements is converted into a target data source.

  • Patent number: 7055098
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) is provided for use in conjunction with attribute evaluation utilizing computation rules and a combining policy. The graphical user interface displays a visual representation of the evaluation of attributes. The GUI displays a representation of the evaluation status of attributes and their associated computation rules during execution. The display may be updated dynamically to provide a user with a visual representation of the progression of attribute evaluation. The representation of evaluation status may include representations of the values assigned to, as well as the state of, data items and associated computation rules. States may be visually represented in the display in various ways, such as using various colors or labels associated with the data items and associated computation rules. Further, the particular data items and computation rules for which evaluation status is represented may be user selectable.

  • Patent number: 6635020
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring fluid pressure includes a reusable base section, and a disposable dome section detachably connected to the base section. The disposable dome section defines a fluid pathway and includes a dome viewing segment in fluid communication with a flush segment and a stopcock segment. A pressure transducer sensor is disposed in the reusable base section and is adapted to produce electrical signals proportional to fluid pressures sensed in the fluid pathway. A usage indicator can be disposed in the base section to provide a visual indication of usage of the apparatus within a predetermined number of uses. A calibration port can be provided in the base section to allow for simple calibration by the user without violating the sterility of the apparatus. The ability to reuse the base section with the sensor component reduces the cost of the apparatus, while the disposability of the dome section with the fluid pathway ensures sterility for each use.
