  • Patent number: 10417715
Abstract: Computer architectures and associated methods for real-time data processing are disclosed. In some embodiments, a trial adjudication request for a cost determination can be received by a first server and verified using a security protocol, wherein a password token of the trial adjudication request can be matched to a stored password token. The first server can transmit an adjudication command packet to a second server that includes at least one data set of a plurality of data sets and a command for a claim determination, and can receive a response packet from the second server. The first server can determine that a successful claim determination was performed by the second server from the response packet, and can transmit a reversal request packet to the second server which can cancel the successful claim determination. The first server can perform the electronic calculation using the claim data.

  • Publication number: 20190236421
Abstract: According to an example, an apparatus may include an automatic document feeder, printing components, an externally accessible embedded finishing mechanism, an illumination source to direct attention to the embedded finishing mechanism, and a controller. The controller may determine whether a certain condition has been met pertaining to media sheets fed into the automatic document feeder or printed by the printing components, and in response to a determination that the certain condition has been met, may activate the illumination source.

  • Publication number: 20190217312
Abstract: A flexible dispensing apparatus for coupling to pressurized fluid containers is described. it includes a flexible tube and a handle assembly. The handle assembly houses a second end of the tube. The handle assembly has a first side connected to a second side, a slide trigger, a roller coupled to the bottom of the slide trigger with a dowel pin, a spray nozzle assembly, a magnet reservoir, and a magnet. The first side has an inclined ramp that runs along a length of the first side and extends into the second side above and beyond a seam that is formed by the connection of the two sides. The tube is within a channel in the handle assembly formed between the inclined ramp and the roller. When the roller is rolled toward the end of the ramp it pinches the flexible tube near the top of the inclined ramp.

  • Publication number: 20190195934
Abstract: An example device includes a physical interface to connect to a system. The device also includes a power source to deliver power to a diagnostic portion of the system via the physical interface. The diagnostic portion draws a small amount of power. The power source delivers the power based on the system not receiving power from an internal source. The device also includes a reporting engine to communicatively couple to the system via the physical interface. The reporting engine retrieves an indication of whether a cable in the system is connected.

  • Publication number: 20190105725
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a remotely controlled welding machine. A remote control uses the welding circuit to transfer information to a welding power source. The information to be communicated to the power source includes welding power source output command information (amperage/voltage control), welding circuit on/off information (power source output contactor control), and power source mode control (constant voltage/constant current). A transmitter transmits the desired welding operational parameters to a receiver disposed in the power source. The transmitter is constructed to use only a small amount of power which, preferably, is supplied by one or two low voltage replaceable and/or rechargeable batteries. Additionally, an open circuit voltage is not created between the power source and an electrode holder when an arc is not present.

  • Patent number: 10116693
Abstract: A computerized device and a process protect against denial-of-service (DoS) attacks by using a memory-time hard problem that a client (e.g., IoT device or mobile app) solves as part of a request such as an initial registration process. The process may use parameters obtained from a public source of randomness. The problem is designed such that all memory allocated for the algorithm is used in a random manner, making it difficult for attackers to use FPGA/ASIC approaches. The client provides a proof-of-work (PoW) value to a server, which performs a more directed version of the calculation done by the client to confirm that the PoW value is correct. When confirmation is not obtained, the server can refrain from further processing of the client request, thwarting DoS attacks.

  • Patent number: 9754235
Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and method for authoritative item identification based on facility operations are described. Embodiments may include an authoritative item identification component configured to, for each particular item of multiple items in inventory of a materials handling facility, determine multiple identifiers for the particular item, where one or more of the multiple identifiers are electronically obtained from a unit of the particular item during operations of the materials handling facility. The authoritative item identification component may, for each of the multiple identifiers, determine a quantity of instances in which that identifier was electronically obtained from a given unit of the particular item. The authoritative item identification component may, based on a statistical analysis of the quantities, determine one of the multiple identifiers as being an authoritative identifier for the particular item.
