  • Patent number: 7740250
Abstract: The invention relates to a light vehicle such as a golf caddie which includes a body and at least two wheels that are respectively connected to the body by first and second axles. The axles can be pivoted in a first position in which they are tilted against the body and in a second position in which they extend away from the body, where the second position is defined as the driving position of the vehicle. At least one spring acts on the body and on the axles, maintaining the driving position of the axles only by the elastic force thereof, without additional transversal supports and bracing.

  • Publication number: 20070272454
Abstract: The invention relates to a light vehicle, e.g. a golf caddie, comprising a body (1) and at least two wheels (2) that are respectively connected to the body by means of an axle journal (3, 4) applied to the body in an articulated manner. Said axle journals (3, 4) can be pivoted in at least one first position in which they are tilted against the body (1), and in a second position in which they (3, 4) extend away from the body (1), said second position being defined as the driving position of the light vehicle. The aim of the invention is to create a light vehicle with the above-mentioned characteristics, ensuring, even when the vehicle is frequently used, the reliable adjustment of the driving position of the axle journals, a higher level of driving comfort, and the easy handling of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6471441
Abstract: A shear-load chuck which is mounted between two members and has a multi-layer structure for transmitting dynamic loads. The multi-layer shear-load chuck is mounted on one surface of a junction like in the traditional bushing of a shear load chuck. A support basket is arranged correspondingly on both sides of the junction and has an end plate as well as at least one strap-like loop. The end plate forms together with the at least one strap-like loop a closed load system. The support basket is attached to the shear-load chuck on one surface of the junction, while it is attached to the bushing on the other surface of the junction. It is further possible to change the cross-sectional shape of the multi-layer shear-load chuck as well as the structural shape of the strap-like loop.

  • Patent number: 5911538
Abstract: A transverse force rod having at least one bearing cage disposed on both sides of a joint. Each bearing cage has a front plate and a trapezoidally shaped steel strip which is welded to the front plate. The transverse force rod is fixedly supported in one bearing cage, and a transverse force rod bearing sleeve is fixedly supported in the front plate of another bearing cage. The transverse force rod or the transverse force rod bearing sleeve penetrates the front plate and the steel strip of the one bearing cage or the other bearing cage.

  • Patent number: 5852863
Abstract: A method for producing a transverse force bolt having a sheath made of a rod-shaped pipe of stainless steel which is drawn onto a rod-shaped core of conventional structural steel. In the process the exterior dimension is simultaneously calibrated. The rod-shaped semi-finished product is subsequently cut into rods, such as with a saw. With a hydraulic press the core is pushed out of the rod by a length and the ejected portion is cut off. Subsequently the core is pushed back by one-half the length of the cut-off portion and the open ends of the sheath are closed. The method produces a transverse force bolt of particularly great strength, which is very precise and has an extremely low cost.

  • Patent number: 5421462
Abstract: An arrangement for the dry reconditioning of used foundry sands in which used sand is fluidized with air or an air/gas mixture and flung against a precipitator to separate and remove substances covering sand particles. The precipitator has several planar baffle elements arranged in concentric circles around a conical deflector. A jet of used sand/air directed toward the deflector expands radially outwardly toward the baffle elements so that the jet is decelerated several times by the deflector and the baffle elements and, in a confined space, split into individual streams and swirled to provide heavy mechanical friction between sand particles and between sand particles and the baffle elements.

  • Patent number: 4817470
Abstract: A gear-shift mechanism for motor-vehicle multi-step transmissions with interruption of traction is designed in the manner of a semi-automatic transmission. Manual control switched 80, 81 connected to a control unit 82 serve to actuate shift forks via servo systems 90. Sensors coact with rotating marks on the power take-off shaft and with marks on the speed gears which are driven by the drive shaft. The relative phase position .phi. between the speed gears and the gearshift sleeves driven by the power take-off shaft is determined by a phase detector 75. When a pre-determined phase position is reached, these elements are brought into engagement with each other.

  • Patent number: 4736819
Abstract: A splash lubrication system is provided for motor vehicle transmissions and comprises an oil sump (42) in the bottom portion of a case (30). The case (30) accommodates a transmission shaft (31) provided with gears (34 to 37) which are immersed in the oil at least partly when the said oil sump (42) is filled completely. In order to prevent the synchronizing mechanism from being blocked by cold and, consequently, very viscous oil in the presence of extremely low operating conditions--a condition which could lead to unsynchronized faulty gear shifting operations and, thus, damage to the transmission, the oil sump (42) is connected with a cavity (33) into which oil is drawn from the oil sump (42) under low operating temperature conditions of the transmission. To this end, preferably, an expansion body (38) is arranged in a cavity (33) in a transmission shaft (31) which contracts under cold conditions, and the cavity (33) is connected with the oil sump (42).

  • Patent number: 4641734
Abstract: In a synchronizing mechanism for clutches, there are provided between the gear shift sleeve and the synchronizing ring (14,15) stop bodies in the form of dogs (25, 26) which are in contact with the gear shift sleeve (between the teeth 34) in the circumferential direction by form-locking engagement and in the axial direction through spring-loaded stop balls (21) and in the neutral position are spaced from the synchronizing ring by a distance substantially equal to the axial extension of the check faces (32, 33) between the gear shift sleeve and the synchronizing ring. In this manner it is ensured that during shifting the axial force previously exerted through the check faces (32, 33) on the synchronizing ring (for instance 15) is replaced by an axial force which is transmitted by the dog and which prevents the synchronizing ring from coming off the countercone before the form-locking connection between the gear shift sleeve and the clutch body is established.
