Publication number: 20130321402Abstract: A mapping program for execution by at least one processing unit of a device is described. The device includes a touch-sensitive screen and a touch input interface. The program renders and displays a presentation of a map from a particular view of the map. The program generates an instruction to rotate the displayed map in response to a multi-touch input from the multi-touch input interface. In order to generate a rotating presentation of the map, the program changes the particular view while receiving the multi-touch input and for a duration of time after the multi-touch input has terminated in order to provide a degree of inertia motion for the rotating presentation of the map.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2012Publication date: December 5, 2013Applicant: APPLE INC.Inventors: Bradford A. Publication number: 20080147009Abstract: An extravascular system for accessing the vasculature of a patient including a catheter having an interior surface, a needle disposed within the catheter, and/or a needle cap defining at least one capillary space and including a flexible seal surrounding the at least one capillary space. The flexible seal may engage the interior surface of the catheter. A method of controlling exposure to a liquid from an extravascular system including providing a wicking material positioned adjacent to a flow channel such that any fluid located external to the flow channel is retained by the wicking material. The wicking material may be incorporated into any extravascular system where exposure to liquids is undesirable.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2007Publication date: June 19, 2008Applicant: BECTON, DICKINSON AND COMPANYInventors: Bengt Erik Anders Nilsson, Janne Joakim Lundqvist, Kristoffer Glowacki, Karl Johan Marten Soderholm, Lars-Ake Lennart Larsson, Johan Fredrik Thorne

Publication number: 20080140011Abstract: An extravascular system for accessing the vasculature of a patient may include a catheter, a needle disposed within the catheter, and/or a needle tip shield assembly. The needle tip shield assembly may have a needle cap, the needle cap may have a needle shield, and the needle shield may have one or more flags. The flags may include a first flag and a second flag. The first flag and the second flag may form an engageable barrier through which the needle cannot penetrate once the barrier is engaged. The needle shield may be a V-clip. The V-clip may include a first arm and a second arm, and the first flag may be secured to the first arm while the second flag may be secured to the second arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: BECTON, DICKINSON AND COMPANYInventors: Jorgen Bruno Hager, Johan Fredrik Thorne, Bengt Erik Anders Nilsson

Patent number: 7071678Abstract: This invention propose a way of controlling the flux density in a current transformer to keep the transformer core saturated between two consecutive measurements in a sampling measurement system. Saturation disables transformation of primary to secondary current, and thereby disables losses in the secondary circuit during this time. Both AC and DC currents are possible to measure. The use of saturation of the transformer core also permits the core to be designed physically very small. In order to get effective and accurate low power consuming measurements, both the magnetic fields originating from primary current flowing in the primary winding and external magnetic fields must be symmetrically physically spread in the transformer core. This greatly limits the possible physical arrangement of the primary winding.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2004Date of Patent: July 4, 2006Assignee: Danaher Motion Stockholm ABInventors: Ulf Bengt Ingemar Karlsson, Erik Anders Lindgren, Thord Agne Gustaf Nilson

Patent number: 6137810Abstract: A method and system align frames of a digital link which interconnects two entities. Frames in which overhead is interleaved with payload are considered. The frame alignment is executed in two phases such that the actual frame alignment, in which a predetermined frame alignment word (FAW) is found, is preceded by a procedure called `column alignment`. The idea with column alignment is to find the positions for the overhead columns or overhead bits of a pending frame of payload and interleaved overhead. During column alignment the transmitting entity will send an easily detectable column alignment word (CAW) and the receiving entity will quickly recognize the overhead bit positions in the interleaved frame. When the positions for the overhead bits have been detected, the transmitting entity will start to send Normal Frames and the receiving entity will gain final frame alignment by finding the FAW in the overhead bit positions.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 1998Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM EricssonInventors: Jonas Bertil Bjurel, Erik Anders Stenkvist
