  • Publication number: 20240327604
Abstract: An opaque lightly coloured thermoplastic moulding composition is made having improved long-term weathering stability as well as excellent optical appearance, especially high colour brilliance. The thermoplastic moulding compositions include the combination of an inorganic pigment and an organic soluble dye, wherein the inorganic pigment is selected from specific mixed metal oxides and mixed metal oxosulfides. A process is also made to produce the coloured moulding composition. Colouring compositions, such as masterbatches, which can be used for producing the coloured thermoplastic moulding composition are further developed. Opaque lightly coloured formed articles are finally made from the thermoplastic moulding composition, for example injection moulded articles and extruded articles.

  • Patent number: 6338771
Abstract: In a process and an apparatus for detaching a lining of thin composite material from a central region, the detachment operation is effected in a continuous procedure with the composite material in the form of an endless web. The composite material passes as a treatment region successively through an initial dissolution region and a deactivation region, in each of which inter alia moisture is fed to the composite material. The residence times in those regions are controllable independently of each other and at least at the end of those regions a respective operation for the preliminary removal of moisture from the composite material is effected. After the last region the composite material is subjected to a drying operation and the lining is detached from the central material by their being moved away from each other.

  • Patent number: 5369981
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the continuous determination of the dust content of flowing media with the isokinetic flow sampling with the separation of the dust or aerosols by cake filtration on a filter and the measurement of the pressure drop at the filter to determine its degree of clogging. To this end the time cycle of the quantity of dust separated on the filter is determined by the measurement of the pressure loss at the filter of an isokinetically operating sampling system. To find the dust load, this quantity of dust is related to the partial quantity of gas extracted isokinetically during the period concerned.

  • Patent number: 4932933
Abstract: In a centrifuge device whose purpose is in particular the separation of amalgam from waste water generated in dentist' offices, the following is provided in order to improve the determination of the filling level in a collecting tank downstream from a centrifuge, to obtain better utilization of the container volume, to reduce the residual moisture in the separated solids, and to simultaneously eliminate the repumping means which operate between the collecting tank and the centrifugal. The collecting tank is detachably attached to a centrifuge drum and rotates together with the centrifuge, with measures being taken for separating the clean-water space from the centrifuge drum, there is also provided a transport container which can be detached from the device together with a collecting tank, which container can, when the collecting tank is in it, be closed by means of a cover which, when it is not in use, is detachably attached to the transport container.
