  • Patent number: 10218476
Abstract: Resources for reference signalling on at least one component carrier of a plurality of aggregated component carriers can be determined by a station. Information indicative the at least one component carrier and the associated resources is then communicated to another station for configuration of the other station. A trigger is then sent for reference signalling, and in response to the trigger, at least one reference signal is sent from the other station using the indicated at least one component carrier and resources.

  • Patent number: 10219295
Abstract: When triggering a user equipment (UE) to send a reference signal (SRS) the network configures the UE with multiple parameter sets, each having a timing indication. The UE's resource allocation grants multiple uplink (UL) subframes and identifies/selects one of those parameter sets. The timing indication of the selected set identifies one of the granted UL subframes, in one embodiment by counting only among the allocated/granted shortened UL subframes. This triggers the UE to send SRS in that identified shortened UL subframe. In one embodiment if no UL subframes in the grant are shortened this triggers the UE to send SRS in a subframe previous to an the allocated/granted multiple UL subframes. The same mechanism can be used to trigger feedback reports such as aperiodic channel state information or block ACK/NACK reports, where the different UL signaling being triggered is requested in the network's resource allocation to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20180359072
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from an appropriate usage of resources. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from appropriate usage of periodic and aperiodic physical uplink control channel resources for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment feedback. A method can include receiving, from an access node, an acknowledgment/negative acknowledgement resource indicator in a downlink assignment. The indicator can correspond to two or three resource sets. The method can also include determining, by a user equipment, a resource for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment transmission based on the acknowledgment/negative acknowledgement resource indicator and based on an outcome of a listen before talk procedure.
