  • Patent number: 7240502
Abstract: A method for controlling operations of an air-conditioner includes: a step in which when an operation load of an air-conditioner increases, if an outputted compressing capacity of the air-conditioner is smaller than a compressing capacity corresponding to the operation load and an operation frequency of the first compressor is a maximum frequency of the first compressor, a second compressor is operated; and a step in which when the operation load is reduced, if the outputted compressing capacity of the air-conditioner is greater than the compressing capacity corresponding to the operation load and the operation frequency of the first compressor is a minimum frequency of the first compressor, the second compressor is stopped.

  • Publication number: 20060037354
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioner, includes a blower fan disposed within a casing; and a heat exchanger for heat-exchanging between refrigerant and air flowing by the blower fan, said heat exchanger connected to a refrigerant inlet pipe for introducing refrigerant and a refrigerant outlet pipe for discharging a refrigerant, wherein the refrigerant inlet pipe is connected to a side of the heat exchanger, where a flow velocity of the air passing through the heat exchanger is relatively high. Accordingly, efficiency of heat exchange between the indoor air and refrigerant can be improved, and thus cooling and heating efficiency of the indoor air is improved, thereby improving performance of the air conditioner. Also, by reducing the operation time of the air conditioner, power consumption can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050241324
Abstract: Provided is a defrosting method for an air conditioner capable of improving an efficiency of a heating mode by supplying the heating mode to a user as long as possible in a condition that a frost deposit is hardly generated. For this purpose, the defrosting method for the air conditioner comprises the steps of; establishing a defrosting initiation temperature of the air conditioner; and performing the defrosting operation based on the established defrosting initiation temperature.
