  • Patent number: 11540668
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices may include a toaster device. The toaster may include a toaster body having a housing having a top outer surface, a bottom outer surface, and a side outer surface extending between the top and bottom outer surfaces. The toaster device may include a control system comprising a power supply and a switch configured to cut power to the heating element when in a cut-power state. The toaster device may include a toaster cover comprising an actuation element. The toaster cover may be alterable between a detached state in which the toaster cover is separated and remote from the toaster body and an assembled state in which the toaster cover rests atop the toaster body to cover the bread slot and the actuation element of the toaster cover actuates the switch into the cut-power state.

  • Publication number: 20210244228
Abstract: A cooking apparatus for cooking a food item. The cooking apparatus may include a base component and a lid component. The base component includes a reservoir. The lid component may be alterable between a closed state whereby the lid closes an open top end of the reservoir and an open state whereby the reservoir is exposed. A plurality of cups may be positioned in the reservoir of the base component. Each of the cups may have an internal cavity with a first liquid holding capacity. The reservoir of the base component may have a second liquid holding capacity when the plurality of cups are positioned in the reservoir. The second liquid holding capacity is equal to or greater than the first liquid holding capacity so that one of the cups can be filled with liquid and then the liquid poured from the cup into the reservoir without overflowing the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 11058242
Abstract: A dispensing system for heating and dispensing a food substance in a liquid state includes a portable dispensing unit including housing including a reservoir for holding a food substance, a heater operable to heat the substance to an operating temperature for producing a liquid, and a pump for dispensing the liquid via a dispensing tube and spray nozzle. A manually activated actuator operates to initiate the dispensing cycle. Control circuitry associated with the dispensing unit monitors the liquid temperature and controls operation of pump and unit. The dispensing unit may be powered by a rechargeable battery. A charging base provides a dock for recharging the battery of the dispensing unit. The pump may include an auto-reverse feature to draw the liquid back into reservoir when not dispensing the liquid for preventing clogs in the dispensing system.

  • Publication number: 20090020018
Abstract: A hot beverage center that utilizes a thermostat in the handle of an electric carafe. The handle thermostat has settings to bring liquids to a precise pre-determined setting for boil, coffee, tea, and cocoa brewing. When the desired temperature is achieved, the thermostat cycles as needed to maintain the liquid at the desired temperature for any period of time. The hot beverage center also uses an interchangeable coffee press filter/tea infuser basket. This unit is designed so that a center rod attaches to a press filter that unscrews so that an interchangeable tea infuser basket can be added. The tea infuser provides that when the center rod is lifted from the top, via a knob, at the point at which the center rod clears the top, it can lay across the top, suspending the tea basket above the water in the carafe.
