  • Patent number: 7055359
Abstract: A method for forging/molding a coarse blank of an oil cylinder, including steps of: placing burn-in softened aluminum material into a preheated mold; using a first punch head to first forge the aluminum material in the mold cavity from outer side of the molding hole so as to form a blank body of the oil cylinder with a first end cap, a second end cap and a shorter cylinder body; moving out the first punch head and connecting an extension mold with the mold; and immediately using a second punch head to secondarily forge the blank body in the mold cavity from outer side of the extension hole and making the end section of the second punch head extend into the mold cavity to a position near the inner end of the mold cavity, whereby the cylinder body of the blank body outward axially extends to the extension mold into a predetermined length so as to form the oil cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20060072916
Abstract: A pop-up flash unit (2) for a camera includes a mounting seat (30) disposed in the camera body, a flash member (20) rotatably mounted on the mounting seat between a projected position for operating and a retracted position for storage, a driving device (40) substantially disposed in the camera body for permitting movement of the flash member from the retracted position to the projected position, a pair of first torsion members (34, 35) for providing a resilient restoring force to the flash member to thereby permit movement of the flash member from the retracted position to the projected position, and a second torsion member (45) for reliably retaining the flash member in the retracted position. The flash member is retained in its retracted position via a latching engagement with the driving device.

  • Publication number: 20050123548
Abstract: The present invention concerns fusion of Fc domains with biologically active peptides and a process for preparing pharmaceutical agents using biologically active peptides. In this invention, pharmacologically active compounds are prepared by a process comprising: a) selecting at least one peptide that modulates the activity of a protein of interest; and b) preparing a pharmacologic agent comprising an Fc domain covalently linked to at least one amino acid of the selected peptide. Linkage to the vehicle increases the half-life of the peptide, which otherwise would be quickly degraded in vivo. The preferred vehicle is an Fc domain. The peptide can be selected, for example, by phage display, E. coli display, ribosome display, RNA-peptide screening, yeast-based screening, chemical-peptide screening, rational design, or protein structural analysis.

  • Patent number: 6756480
Abstract: The present invention concerns therapeutic agents that modulate the activity of PTH and PTHrP. In accordance with the present invention, modulators of PTH and PTHrP comprise: (a) a PTH/PTHrP modulating domain; and (b) a vehicle, such as a polymer (e.g., PEG or dextran) or an Fc domain, which is preferred; wherein the vehicle is covalently attached to the C-terminus of the PTH/PTHrP modulating domain. The vehicle and the PTH/PTHrP modulating domain may be linked through the N- or C-terminus of the PTH/PTHrP modulating domain, as described further below. The preferred vehicle is an Fc domain, and the preferred Fc domain is an IgG Fc domain. Preferred PTH/PTHrP modulating domains comprise the PTH and PTHrP-derived amino acid sequences described hereinafter. Other PTH/PTHrP modulating domains can be generated by phage display, RNA-peptide screening and the other techniques mentioned herein.

  • Patent number: 6530299
Abstract: The present invention relates to a joint adapter for a power drill screw driver having a driving shaft, a slide socket, a compression spring, a packing ring and a screw driver bit. The driving shaft is provided with an insertion groove and an insertion piece. A neck is located in the middle of the driving shaft. A strong magnet is fixed at the front end of the axial insertion hole. A clamping ring is arranged at a proper place of the axial insertion hole. The compression spring is inserted around the neck of the driving shaft and rests on the clamping ring of the slide socket. The packing ring closely sits at the end of the neck of the driving shaft in a tight state while the compression spring presses against the packing ring so that the compression spring and the slide socket are located in place. A plurality of screw driver bits in a plurality of shapes and sizes each being selectively inserted into the insertion groove of the driving shaft for tightening the screws.
