  • Patent number: 8721923
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing a crystalline metal sulfide nanostructure. The metal is a transitional metal or a Group IV metal. In the method, a porous membrane is placed between a metal precursor solution and a sulfur precursor solution. The metal cations of the metal precursor solution and sulfur ions of the sulfur precursor solution react, thereby producing a crystalline metal sulfide nanostructure.

  • Publication number: 20140025301
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide techniques for using data from a select set of wells to develop correlations between surface-measured properties and properties typically determined from subsurface measurements (e.g., from logging tool responses, core analysis, or other subsurface measurements). When new wells are drilled, the surface data acquired while drilling may be used as an input to these correlations in order to predict properties associated with subsurface measurements.

  • Patent number: 8472420
Abstract: A gateway device includes a local area network (LAN) interface including a plurality of LAN ports, and a processor connected to the LAN interface. The gateway device communicates with an Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) network and at least two Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) networks. All the plurality of LAN ports are classified into a plurality of port groups corresponding to the at least two IPv6 networks. When an IPv6 user device is connected to any one of the plurality of LAN ports, the processor identifies the LAN port connected to the IPv6 user device, and enables the IPv6 user device to communicate with the IPv6 network corresponding to the port group which includes the LAN port connected to the IPv6 user device.

  • Publication number: 20120044946
Abstract: In a router and a method of passing IPv6 data packets through the router, the router receives a data packet from a local area network or the wide area network. The router determines if the data packet is a IPv6 data packet or a non-IPv6 data packet . The router routes the data packet to a destination address via the network layer of the open system interconnect, upon the condition that the data packet is a non-IPv6 data packet; or bridges the data packet to the destination address via the data link layer, upon the condition the data packet is a IPv6 data packet.

  • Publication number: 20120020980
Abstract: Antibodies to human Cytomegalovirus (CMV) gB protein have been isolated from human B cells. The affinities of these antibodies are higher than the best previously reported antibodies. Since high affinity is critical to prevention of virus transfer across the placenta, the invention antibodies are useful as therapeutic and prophylactic agents to prevent or ameliorate effects on the fetus of CMV infection during pregnancy.

  • Publication number: 20030235580
Abstract: The present invention provides reconstituted and recombinant tissue membranes and methods for pharmaceutical delivery of bioactive molecules. In particular, reconstituted and recombinant amniotic membranes are provided for sustained delivery of therapeutic molecules, proteins or metabolites, to a site of a host in need thereof. The reconstituted and recombinant amniotic membrane contains one or more recombinant expression vectors that are exogenous to the membrane and capable of expressing bioactive molecules. The reconstituted and recombinant tissue membranes and methods can be used for in situ delivery of therapeutic proteins to a host in the treatment of disorders such as chronic wounds and dermatologic or ocular surface diseases.
